The attitude

Hare Krishna, my intention and attitude in sending you this message, is that Srila Prabhupada wanted us to transmit his teachings to everyone, without wanting anything in return.
The attitude, by Haripada dasa
With love and trust I share some quotes from Srila Prabhupada's books that make us understand that the most important thing in our spiritual life is attitude. Here in the Bhagavatam, 2, 6, 35, in the meaning Srila Prabhupada speaks of the correct attitude: Brahmā, the greatest of all the living creatures of the universe, is admitting his inability to know the Supreme Lord, despite his vast knowledge of Vedic wisdom, despite its austerity, penance, mystic powers and self-realization, and despite being worshiped by the great Prajāpatis, the ancestors of living entities. So those qualities are not enough to know the Supreme Lord. Brahmājī could understand the Lord in a small measure, only when he tried to serve him with the craving of his heart (hṛdautkaṇṭhyavatā), which is the attitude proper to devotional service.
Here in the preface of the nectar of instruction, Srila Prabhupada speaks of the attitude: Progress on the path of Krishna consciousness depends on the attitude of the follower.
Here in the introduction of the nectar of devotion, Srila Prabhupada also speaks of the attitude: The author of The Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu, Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī, very humbly points out that he is only trying to spread the process of Kṛṣṇa consciousness by the whole world, although he humbly thinks that he is incapable of that task. That should be the attitude of all the preachers of the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement, following in the footsteps of Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī. We should never believe ourselves to be great preachers, but we should consider ourselves to be only instruments of the previous ācāryas, and only if we follow in their footsteps capable of doing something of benefit for the suffering humanity ... ..Also in the introduction of the nectar of the devotion, Srila Prabhupada clearly explains that service to Krishna must be favorable: Devotional service means performing Kṛṣṇa conscious activities that are favorable to the transcendental pleasure of the Supreme Lord, Kṛṣṇa, and any activities that do not favor the attainment of the transcendental grace of the Lord , they can not be accepted as devotional service. For example, great demons like Rāvaṇa, Kaṁsa and Hiraṇyakaśipu were always thinking of Kṛṣṇa, but they thought of Him as their enemy. That kind of thinking can not be accepted as bhakti, or Kṛṣṇa consciousness. And in the Bhagavatam, 6, 1, 16 Srila Prabhupad says that when he is in hellish conditions, the devotee accepts them as mercy of Kṛṣṇa: tat te 'nukampāṁ susamīkṣamāṇaḥ (Bhāg 10.14.8). He does not complain, saying: "Alas! I am a great devotee of Krishna and I do not deserve these sufferings", but he thinks: "This is Krishna's mercy." Maintaining that attitude is possible for the devotee who is engaged in the service of Krishna's representative. That is the secret of success.
