Relationship with the devotees

Hare Krishna, my intention and attitude in sending you this message, is that Srila Prabhupada wanted us to transmit his teachings to everyone, without wanting anything in return.
Relationship with the devotees, by Haripada dasa
The relationship with the devotees must be based on love and trust, when there is no love and trust there are criticisms, envies and misunderstandings, the devotees relate with love and trust through these 6 transcendental activities: 1.- Offer gifts as charity, 2.- Accept charitable gifts, 3.- Reveal the mind confidentially, 4.- Ask confidentially, 5.- Accept prasada and 6.- Offer prasada. (The nectar of instruction, or Upadesamrita, verse 4), confidence means there will be no betrayal, in Kali yuga there is a lot of betrayal, one introduces oneself as a friend of yours, but is making plans to hurt you, that is betrayal, in relation to this subject there is a very nice verse of the Bhagavatam, 3, 25, 25, there it is said that conversations about the pastimes and activities of the Supreme Personality of Godhead in the company of pure devotees are very pleasing and satisfying to the ear and the heart . He who cultivates this knowledge gradually advances on the path of liberation until he is liberated and his attraction is fixed. Then the true devotion and true devotional service begin. Meaning of Srila Prabhupada: This describes the process of becoming more conscious of Kṛṣṇa and advancing in devotional service. The first step is to look for the relationship with Krishna conscious people who are engaged in devotional service. Without that relationship, you can not move forward. No significant advance can be made simply with study and theoretical knowledge. We must abandon the relationship with materialistic people and seek the relationship with devotees, because without that relationship you can not understand the activities of the Lord. In general, people are convinced of the impersonal aspect of the Absolute Truth. Since they do not relate to devotees, they can not understand that the Absolute Truth can be a person and have personal activities. This is a very difficult subject, and without a personal understanding of the Absolute Truth, one can not speak of devotion. Service, devotion, can not be offered to something impersonal: it must be offered to a person. Non-devotees can not appreciate the process of Kṛṣṇa consciousness even though they read Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam or any other Vedic scripture describing the activities of the Lord; Since the spiritual life has not been explained to them with the right attitude, they believe that these activities are fictional. To understand the personal activities of the Lord we have to seek the company of the devotees. Through this relationship, one who contemplates and tries to understand the transcendental activities of the Lord has opened the path of liberation, and is liberated. One who has firm faith in the Supreme Personality of Godhead attains stability, and his attraction to the relationship with the Lord and the devotees increases. Relating to the devotees means relating to the Lord. In the devotee who establishes that relationship, the proper conscience is developed to offer service to the Lord. Then, fixed in their transcendental position of devotional service, they gradually attain perfection.
