Prophecies of the Bhagavatam

Prophecies of the Bhagavatam, by Haripada dasa
The Bhagavatam wrote 5000 years ago a literary incarnation of God or Krishna called Srila Vyasadeva, the Bhagavatam contains 18,000 verses grouped in 12 songs or sections, in the 12th song there are some very interesting prophecies about the current era called kali yuga, the era of the hypocrisy and the quarrel, in the 1 song, verse 10 it is said that in this iron era of Kali, men have a short life. They are fighters, lazy, disoriented, unfortunate and, above all, always disturbed. Then in Bhagavatam 12.2.1 it is said that Sukadeva Gosvami said: Then, O King !, religion, truthfulness, cleanliness, tolerance, mercy, duration of life, and physical strength and memory, all they will diminish day by day due to the powerful influence of Kali's age. In 12.2.2 it is said that in Kali-yuga, wealth will only be considered the sign of a good birth of a man, proper conduct and fine qualities. And only law and justice will be applied based on the economic power that someone has. In 12.2.3 it is said that men and women will live together simply because of superficial attraction, and success in the business will depend on deception. Femininity and virility will be judged according to sexual experience, and a man will be recognized as a brahmana or priest only by wearing the sacred thread. In 12.2.4 it is said that the spiritual position of a person will be determined simply according to the external symbols. The property of a person will be seriously questioned if he does not make a good living. And whoever is very clever in juggling words will be considered a wise scholar. In 12.2.5 it is said that a person will be judged as ungodly if he has no money, and hypocrisy will be accepted as virtue. The marriage will simply be arranged by verbal agreement, and a person will think that he can appear in public if he has merely taken a bath, in the current age people suffer from good brahminical qualities and do not wash their hands after going to the bathroom. For lack of elementary hygiene there are many contagious and venereal diseases, and many of the viral epidemics are due to dirty or undue collective behavior.
Courage! Srila Prabhupada instructed us and said that everyone should follow the example of Jayananda prabhu, all together try to obey this instruction and make Jagat-guru Srila Prabhupada Mahasaya happy and do nothing that displeases him.
