Preaching to the mind

Preaching to the mind, by Haripada dasa
I share that many years ago every day I read a verse from Mana-siksa or preaching to the mind of Srila Raghunatha Dasa Goswami and the verses are commented by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura, in verse 7 it is said that wishing others honor and deceit They are very difficult things to purify, I share some paragraphs of this verse 7, there it says that the desire for honor and distinction is called pratisthasa. Although all other anarthas or impurities may have been banished, the desire for pratistha is not easily removed. From here comes all kinds of deceit and hypocrisy and are nourished gradually. Desire for pratistha is called without shame because although it is the root of all anarthas, it does not recognize its own fault. It is called candalini, a dog-eater busy eating the dog's meat of fame. As long as the desire for prathistha has not been torn from the heart, the deception will remain; and if one is not free from deception, he can not get pure prema or pure love for God or Krishna, without mixing. When bhava-bhakti or rati or devotional feelings deepen and mature, the sadhaka's heart or devotee softens and melts. At that time the devotee experiences the supreme rejoicing of transcendental happiness and awakens an irresistible sense of mamata or obsession towards Sri Krishna. Scholarly authorities describe this condition as prema or pure love for God or Krishna. The dust of the lotus feet of the devotees, the water that washed their feet, and their remnants of their maha-mahaprasada or spiritual foods - these three things are very powerful and by fulfilling them, one attains prema at the lotus feet of Sri Krishna. This has been proclaimed in all the sastras or scriptures over and over again. I do not know why my mind no longer remains attached to family affairs since that extraordinary person appeared in the path of my eyes, whose body is soaked in tears, whose beauty of the body is put to the extreme in ecstasy, who hesitates at each step, who is submerged in transcendental happiness within his heart, and who trembles feverishly when he is overwhelmed by a spiritual emotion. From the above verses it is understood that the dear devotees of God or Krishna are the incomparable powerful generals of the Lord's army. By serving them we eradicate all the anarthas or impurities in an easy way and generate the rare and divine Krishna-prema or pure love for Krishna.
