Love and trust

Love and trust, by Haripada dasa
Usually people think that love means to give in love affairs as much as they receive from the other person, they are simply business deals, selfish or egocentric, and when this fails, violence enters, and they kill each other. Sincere love can be seen when parents love their children despite the rejection of their children. Then there are people satisfied in themselves, they do not require anybody's love, these people are absorbed in thoughts about the Supreme Personality of Godhead and, therefore, do not care if someone loves them or not, these people are oceans of mercy, and try to help human society so that people become pure devotees of God or Krishna, these people are full of love for God or Krishna, and as there is only God And His energies, naturally they love everyone and everything, to understand this point there are two examples, when one irrigates the root of a plant, naturally benefit the branches, stems, leaves and flowers and by feeding the stomach, all the senses are satisfied. The goal of human life is to awaken the latent love that we all have for God or Krishna, and for God or Krishna reciprocating, giving us bliss, spiritual knowledge and eternity. Unhappily there are ungrateful people, they are said to be insensitive, and they rebel against superior people, which means that they receive favors from their parents or from the spiritual master, and even then they disregard them. Srila Prabhupada said that relations between devotees should be based on LOVE AND TRUST, and in establishing these relationships wonderful things will be done to serve and please God or Krishna and His devotees. In spiritual relationships based on love and trust there is harmony and happiness, there is no selfishness or envy, and in material relationships there is only selfishness, envy and much suffering.
Confidence is lost when there is betrayal. Trust is only possible between pure devotees of God or Krishna, because only the devotees of God or Krishna have good qualities, materialistic and atheist people do not have good qualities, we see in practice that they do not fight with each other for nothing. The relationships between materialists and atheists are based on deceiving each other, everyone understands and accepts that materialists and atheists are scammers.

The life of Srila Prabhupada

A brief history of the life of Srila Prabhupada

Srila Bhaktisidhanta Saraswati Thakur
Srila Bhaktisidhanta Saraswati Thakur
AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada was born on September 1st, 1896 in Calcutta,India. Later in life he accepted spiritual initiation from Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Goswami, founder of the 64 Gaudiya institutes.Srila Prabhupada was requested by his spiritual master to broadcast the ancient Vedic teachings through English language.
Following these orders, Srila Prabhupada started Back to Godhead, an English fortnightly magazine, in 1944 for which he acted as publisher, editor, copy editor, and local distributor.
In 1950 Srila Prabhupada moved to the holiest city of India, Vrindavana, to prepare for a renounced order of life. He resided in a small room at the temple of Radha-Damodara and engaged, for several years, in deep study and writing.
In 1959 he accepted his renounced order of life (sannyasa monk) and began work on his life's masterpiece: a commentated English translation of the eighteen thousand verse Srimad-Bhagavatam, one of the greatest epic scriptures of Vedic philosophy.

On September 5th 1965, at the age of 69, Srila Prabhupada headed alone to America to fulfill the mission of his spiritual master. He was the only passenger aboard the freight ship Jaladuta. Journeying for 37 days across the Atlantic, he suffered two serious heart attacks.

Finally arriving in New York City, he possessed only a suitcase, umbrella, a supply of dry grains, about 7 dollars worth of Indian currency, and several boxes of books for distribution. He didn't know where to begin – New York was such an overwhelming city of material life.
Eventually working out a place to stay and still struggling to survive, he simply began singing the Hare Krishna mantra at Thompkin Square Park and preached to whomever would listen.
The time was right and things were radically changing in the US. The youth were looking for positive alternatives, something to give lasting peace after decades of war. Srila Prabhupada preached about the true meaning of life and people listened.
Nine months after his arrival he finally opened his first storefront center on 26 2nd Avenue. It was formerly a shop called Matchless Gifts, a prophetic name none the less. The doors were open to everyone. He would give lectures daily, have kirtan (singing mantras, songs of God) and cook prasadam (food offered to God). There in July of 1966 he established the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.
From here on, nothing could stop him.

He soon traveled to San Fransisco and opened a new temple. From there he sent disciples to major cities throughout the world to open more temples. The influence of his teaching grew exponentially, spreading rapidly throughout the world, gaining media attention and reaching even the likes of the Beatles. George Harrison became a life-long follower of Srila Prabhupada.
In just twelve years, despite his advanced age, Srila Prabhupada circled the globe fourteen times, giving lectures on the philosophy of Krishna consciousness and how to apply it in today's world.
With this demanding schedule, he simultaneously manifested a prolific output of Vedic literature that spans all aspects of spiritual life. Most of his writing and translation work was done between 1:30 and 4:30 AM. He slept three hours a day and only ate a handful of food. Later in the day he would speak to various audiences in public, and give guidance in private.
His books have become his greatest contribution to society, which are highly respected by scholars for their authority, depth and clarity. Srila Prabhupada wrote over 70 volumes of spiritual literature in only 11 years. This is unmatched in known history. They are used as textbooks in numerous college courses, have been translated to over 50 languages and are distributed to thousands of people every day throughout the world.

I share

Hare Krishna, with love and trust I share some very interesting stories that have happened to me in my devotional life, from 1984 to 1994 I spent 10 years distributing Srila Prabhupada's books in Spain, during this time I had a conversation with two Catholic priests, they were living in different places, but the two priests told me the same thing, that they sang their 16 rounds every day of the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra, that they liked Srila Prabhupada's books very much and that they followed the 4 regulative principles, 1, do not eat meat, fish or eggs, 2, no illicit sex, only sex is allowed to procreate and with one's wife, 3, no games of chance, and 4, do not drink tea, coffee, alcohol, drugs, etc., and that they did these practices in a very discreet way, the two priests also told me that the leaders of the catholic religion know that without a doubt that now the only true religion is the Hare Krishn Movement a, and that's why they attack us a lot, yes, that's a great truth, in a Catholic Church in Barcelona some people wanted to finish with the Hare Krishnas, the leader was a lady who had her son with the Hare Krishnas and there was a father who had a high position in the Spanish Army who had a son with the Hare Krishnas, they decided to kidnap their children to deprogram them, they spent a lot of money with this, and so they kidnapped the two devotees, and they took them away to a cabin in the Swiss Alps, there brought them very beautiful prostitutes, and very opulent food like seafood, etc., the son of the lady fell with everything, sex with the girls, ate everything, etc., and then it was of the movement, but the other devotee remained very calm, he was called Devarshi, Devarshi is the devotee who introduced me to Krishna consciousness, in the summer of 1984 he distributed me a Bhagavad gita and he preached to me, and in October of the same year I entered in The Movement and Devarshi when he had an opportunity escaped through the window of the bathroom, and hitchhiking appeared in the temple of Barcelona, then his father claiming that his son was crazy locked him in the madhouse of Guadalajara, the doctors spoke with him , and then they told their father that this boy is pure goodness, he is not capable of killing an ant, we do not understand why you brought him here, and then Devarshi left the madhouse, then he went to live in the temple of Mayapur, in India, and there lived more than 20 years, his father went to see him to apologize for all his offenses, in the summer of 2011 Devarshi wrote me a message and told me that this temple is full of demons, I I answered that he did the same as me, I left the movement because I saw that these people are not obeying Srila Prabhupada's order to initiate in his name, and not to be an accomplice of all the offenses that they are doing to Srila Pr abhupada practiced Krishna consciousness in an independent way, then in December 2011 a devotee wrote to me and told me that Devarshi had left the body in Mayapur and died of tuberculosis.

How are people generally

How are people generally, by Haripada dasa
I share this beautiful song of Bhaktivinoda Thakura, he is one of our spiritual masters in the disciplic succession, although he was a pure devotee of God or Krishna taken by his deep humility puts himself in the position of an ordinary person, and says that I have always I dedicate my life to commit sinful activities, you will not find in me a bit of pious activities, only a life of sinful activities, I am always willing to cause problems to other living entities ..., that is my occupation, I want to see others suffer , and, and when that happens, I enjoy. To get my own sense gratification, I do not mind committing any sinful activity, I have no mercy, and I only pursue the satisfaction of my own interests, so, when others suffer, I feel very happy ..., I'm used to telling lies , even in ordinary matters, and when someone suffers, that is very pleasant for me, I have unlimited desires in my heart, and I am always disgusted and conceited with false prestige, envy and false pride are my ornaments, the dream and the laziness conquer me, I always feel revulsion for pious activities, and I am very enthusiastic about doing impious activities, I always deceive others to gain prestige, greed subjugates me and I am always lustful, I am very fallen and I never relate to devotees of God or Krishna, I am constantly an offender, my mind is always attracted by morbid things, therefore, at the very end of my life, I am almost invalid because of all these tribulations, now in my old age, I have no other alternative ..., and, therefore, by force I have had to become very meek and humble, thus, Bhaktivinoda Thakura, offers the testimony of the activities of his life at the lotus feet of God or Krishna.
I remember that in the book entitled perfect questions and perfect answers, Srila Prabhupada says that preaching Krishna consciousness is very difficult, because a preacher always has to go with the truth ahead, and people have so much false ego that they feel insulted, and sometimes they kill the preacher as in the case of Jesus Christ, Jesus was told if you say that you are the son of God we are going to crucify you, and he said do what you want, but I can not change the philosophy. Today to be a true devotee of God you have to be very brave, because your supposed relatives, friends, and society are going to be against you, Srila Prabhupada always said that this material world is like an asylum, everyone is crazy , but the crazy ones think that the crazy ones are the doctors, and sometimes they convince them.
Thought to meditate:
"The only way to stop doing sinful activities is to always be engaged in devotional activities."

Offering of Sri Vyasa Puja to Srila Prabhupada 2018

Hare Krishna, with love and confidence I share my offering of Vyasa puja to Jagat-guru Srila Prabhupada, the guru of the Universe.
Offering of Sri Vyasa Puja to Srila Prabhupada 2018, by Haripada dasa
Sri Vyasa Puja is the happy occasion when the disciples celebrate the day of the appearance of their Spiritual Master. The Vyasa Puja denomination has its origin in Sri Vyasadeva, the compiler of all the ancient Vedic literatures, who is considered the universal spiritual master. All authoritative Scriptures agree that the concept about the Guru can not be explained intellectually, because it is a very deep feeling of the heart. It is understood that the Guru, the Spiritual Master, is the merciful representation of God or Krishna, who descends into this world to spread the message of the Supreme Lord. The Scriptures also explain that the Lord appears externally as the Spiritual Master because we can not perceive Him in our heart. He appears externally to guide us, to teach us to search internally and find the Lord in His fullest aspect.
In truth, the Spiritual Master is the most priceless and merciful incarnation of the Lord, because only by His grace can one approach the earth of divine love, where all his desires will be fully satisfied. The Spiritual Master is the representative of the Absolute Truth and the bestower of divine mercy. Reaffirming this eternal principle, our Divine Master ABHAY CARANARAVINDA SWAMI PRABHUPADA, is giving this mercy in the form of the MAHA-MANTRA HARE KRISHNA, and guiding all the souls towards their supreme destination, back to Goloka Vrindavana. His appearance in this world is the most valuable blessing for all humanity and an occasion to celebrate.

On envy, part 2

On envy, part 2, by Haripada dasa
Our envy against the Supreme Personality of Godhead and His devotees makes us envious of other living entities. When we stop being envious of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and His devotees, in human society there will be true peace, unity and brotherhood.
With love and trust I share some nectars of Srila Prabhupada's books in relation to envy, in Srimad Bhagavatam, 5, 18, 9, in word by word he says that khalah- the envious (practically all); and in the translation it says that good fortune reigns throughout the universe, and that all envious people are appeased. May all living entities find peace through the practice of bhakti-yoga, for devotional service will make them think always of the welfare of others. Let us all occupy ourselves in the service of God or Krishna, the supreme transcendental reality, and always remain absorbed in thinking of Him. And in the meaning of this verse it describes the pure devotee of God or Krishna as a desire tree, the devotee of God or Krishna can satisfy all the desires of everyone who takes shelter at his lotus feet. Prahlāda Mahārāja, as a good devotee of God or Krishna, does not pray for himself, but for all living entities, both those who are noble and envious and evil. He always thought of the good of evil people like his father, Hiraṇyakaśipu. Prahlāda Mahārāja did not ask anything for himself; on the contrary, he prayed to the Lord asking him to forgive his demonic father. That is the attitude of a devotee of God or Krishna, who always thinks of the good of the entire universe. And in the same meaning Srila Prabhupada says that if the movement for Krishna consciousness is spread throughout the world, and if, by the grace of Krishna, the whole world accepts it, the mentality of the envious will change. Everyone will think about the welfare of others. In the realm of material activities, everyone feels envious of others, but in a Krsna conscious environment, nobody feels envious of anyone; Everyone thinks of the good of others.
I share the meaning of Srila Prabhupada of Srimad Bhagavatam, 9, 11, 23, there he says that in the material world, everyone feels envious of others. Even in religious life we sometimes see that, if a devotee has advanced in spiritual activities, other devotees envy him. These envious devotees are not completely liberated from the bondage of birth and death, and no one can enter the spiritual world, that is, the eternal pastimes of the Lord, until he is completely free from the causes of birth and death. Envy comes under the influence of false identification with the body, but the liberated devotee has nothing to do with the body, so it is perfectly situated on the transcendental plane. The devotee never feels envy of anyone, even if it is his enemy. Knowing that the Lord is his supreme protector, the devotee thinks: "What harm can that supposed enemy do to me? The devotee, therefore, trusts that he will be protected. The Lord says that to the extent that you surrender to Me, I correspond to you. The devotee, therefore, must be completely free from envy, especially from envy towards other devotees. Feeling envious of other devotees is a great offense. A devotee who is constantly engaged in listening and singing is freed from the disease of envy, and thus becomes apt to go back home, back to Godhead.
I take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Janmastami 2018 and a Happy Vyasa Puja of Srila Prabhupada.

On envy, part 1

On envy, part 1, by Haripada dasa
God or Krishna says in Bhagavad gita, 7, 27 that Oh, scion of Bharata !, O conqueror of the enemy, all living entities are born in the bosom of illusion, confused by the dualities that arise from desire and the envy. And Srila Prabhupada says in the meaning that because of desire and hatred, the ignorant person wants to become one with the Supreme Lord, and envies Krishna as the Supreme Personality of Godhead. In the book of Bhaktivinoda Thakura entitled Jaiva Dharma it is said that we are an energy of God or Krishna called marginal, this means that we have two tendencies, the original, natural and eternal tendency is that we are with God or Krishna and His devotees in the spiritual world, and those souls never fall into the material world, and the other artificial and temporary tendency is that we want to enjoy matter and live without God or Krishna and His devotees, in that book it is explained that we have a vision of what is the spiritual world and the material world, most souls 90 percent go with God or Krishna and His devotees to the spiritual world and only 10 percent to see the spiritual world and see that God or Krishna has so many opulences, they He grasps envy and they want to live in the material world and they do not want to know anything about God or Krishna.
I share this very interesting information that comes in the book of Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, there Srila Prabhupada says that the serpent is considered the most cruel and envious living entity that exists, but those who are human beings and who envy others are considered to be even more vicious than snakes. The snake can be subjugated or controlled by herbs and enchanting mantras, but no one can control an envious person. In relation to the subject it is very interesting what Srila Prabhupada says in Chaitanya Charitamrita, Madhya Lila, Chapter 19, 159 there says that Jiva Himsana refers to killing animals or envying other living entities, if we kill defenseless animals, we should not There is doubt about that, the envy we feel for those animals. Now we are going to give the solution to eliminate this envy. I'm going to give a very simple example, I have a neighbor and I envy him a lot, the remedy is to make a change in my conscience, instead of envy I start to appreciate it, look at my neighbor always has the garden very fixed and I always have it dirty , my neighbor always has the car clean and I dirty, etc. So the cause of envy is that we envy God or Krishna, then the solution is to be 24 hours glorifying their unlimited names, forms, qualities and pastimes, in that way naturally the latent love we have for God will awaken. Srila Prabhupada always said that if you are full of hate and envy that means you are in the material world, and if you are free from envy, that means you are in the spiritual world.
Thought to meditate:
"The most valuable thing in life is to relate to the devotees of God or Krishna, this relationship is based on love and trust."
