BAHULASTAMI - SRI RADHA KUNDA KI JAYA

Bahulastami - Appearance of Radha Kunda
The anniversary of the appearance of Radha-kunda and Syama-kunda lakes where Srimati Radharani and Sri Krishna bathed in Govardhana Hill, Vrindavan.
On the eighth day of the Damodara phase marks the appearance day of Radha Kunda.
Bathe in Radha Kunda is especially beneficial on this day. This Radha's favor, by which one's favor Krishna win win. Radha Kunda appeared at midnight.
People go to Radha Kunda and offers prasadam, garlands and pumpkins in the water, then at midnight bath in Radha Kunda take and then bathe in Syama Kunda. Many people like bathing in a Ghat where the shakti of Nityananda, Jahnava Mata used to bathe.
Origin of Radha Kunda
After killing a demon in the form of bull named Aristasura, Krishna went to Radharani. However, she rebuked him, saying that he was unclean for committing the sin of killing a bull, the symbol of religion. She suggested that to counter this sin He should bathe in all the holy rivers.
Krishna, immediately pushed His lotus feet on the floor, making a big hole, and asked all the sacred rivers enter it. They appeared before him and formed the Syama Kunda, the bathing place Syama, who has the color of a dark rain cloud.
After bathing, Krishna declared that had been purified by bathing in Syama Kunda, but that the gopis had become impure, being a demon side, although it had appeared in the form of a bull.
Radharani, along with some of His gopis friends, broke her bracelets and dug a hole with broken pieces. But there was no water, so Krishna laughed. Then the gopis formed a line to the Manasi Ganga and began to fill the hole with water that is passed from one to another.
At that time, all the sacred rivers again arrived in person and asked permission to enter the Kunda Radharani, Radha Kunda, which they did after receiving the blessing of Radharani.
Raghunatha dasa could not live after Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu left this world, so he went to Vrindavan to end his life by jumping from Govardhana Hill. Sri Rupa and Sanatana Goswami received him warmly and convinced him to continue living and illuminating all Vrajavasis Vaisnavas with Sriman Mahaprabhu's pastimes in Puri. For three hours he spoke on the banks of Radha-kunda Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Raghunatha dasa Radha-Krishna performed bhajana at Radha Kunda for forty years. He lived an austere life in pure devotion. Raghunatha dasa Goswami showed the standard of renunciation required to obtain the eternal loving service of Radha-Giridhari in nikunja nitya lilacs in the Radha-kunda. His perfect example excites all Gaudiya Vaishnava to develop unshakable pure love of Radha-Krishna.
The daily bhajana of Sri Raghunatha Dasa Goswami included 64 rounds of japa (100,000 holy names), do manasi-seva in his spiritual body, worship of Govardhana sila, bathe thrice in Radha-kunda, offer thousand obeisances to Krishna, offer two thousand Vaisnavas and hug, rest ninety minutes and sometimes nothing, do service internally in the mind when an eternal associate of the Lord rests externally. Daily ate only 100 grams (a cup made with leaves) cream (butter).
Very close to Vrindavan, the village of Radha Kunda also keeps the kunda, or lake, which Sri Krishna ofrendara Srimati Radharani as their particular Ganga, is the treasure of the Goswamis, and for me, in my innate sensitivity to the mystical simplicity, the asrhrama of His Divine Grace Om Vishnupadi Paramahansa Parivrajakacharya Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur Asttotara Srila Prabhupada.
In a glorious corner house Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati offers simple and rendered to give grace of Acharya Srila Prabhupada, his very skilled in English disciple, the order to preach Krishna Consciousness in the West.
To our good fortune, Srila Prabhupada answered the order of his spiritual master and in August 1965 embarked on the Jaladuta, a boat Scindia Line of India and in September of that year, he landed in America, where, in New York, less than a year after his arrival, with some of his first Western disciples, created ISKCON, on July 13, 1966.
