The only mercy

The only mercy, by Haripada dasa
I feel fortunate to have come to the conclusion that the only mercy that exists today is the books of Srila Prabhupada. The very envious people of Srila Prabhupada changed some things from the books of Srila Prabhupada, surely that God or Krishna will have made a special hell for these sinners to suffer, in spite of the changes any serious and sincere person can understand that the only process for To understand God or Krishna is devotional service. Srila Prabhupada presented Krishna consciousness to the world as a spiritual science, as a spiritual culture and as the universal religion. In chapter 7 of the Nectar of devotion Srila Prabhupada says that if we carefully read Bhagavad gita, Srimad Bhagvatam, Teachings of Lord Chaitanya and The Nectar of devotion, we will gain the knowledge necessary to understand the science of the consciousness process of Krishna.
Thanks to this verse of Srimad Bhagavatam, 5, 12, 12, we understand and accept that only by the mercy of a devotee, one becomes a devotee.
My dear King Rahūgaṇa, only those who have the opportunity to anoint their entire body with the dust of the lotus feet of great devotees will be able to understand the Absolute Truth. The Absolute Truth can not be understood by the simple practice of celibacy [brahmacarya], nor by strictly following the rules and regulations of married life, leaving the home as vānaprastha, entering the sannyāsa order or submitting to severe austerities, such as stay underwater during the winter or surround yourself with fire under the scorching summer sun. There are many other processes to understand the Absolute Truth, but the Absolute Truth is revealed only to one who has obtained the mercy of a great devotee.
MEANING:
The pure devotee can bestow the true knowledge of transcendental bliss on the whole world. Vedeṣu durlabham adurlabham ātma-bhaktau. To obtain the perfection of the spiritual life it is not enough to follow the guidelines of the Vedas. One must go to a pure devotee: anyābhilāśitā- śūnyaṁ jñāna-karmādy-anāvṛtam. By the grace of that devotee, we can understand Kṛṣṇa, the Absolute Truth, and the relationship that binds us to Him. Materialists sometimes think that to understand the Absolute Truth it is enough to stay at home doing pious activities. That is denied in this verse. And, to understand the Absolute Truth, it is not enough to follow the rules and regulations of brahmacārya (celibacy) either. You have to serve the pure devotee. Unfailingly, that will help us understand the Absolute Truth.
