SRILA BHAKTIVINODA THAKURA KI JAYA 6

Share with the group extracts the monumental work written by Bhaktivinoda Thakura entitled, THE Bhagavatam, YOUR PHILOSOPHY, THE ETHICS AND THEOLOGY 6.

Party spirit - that great enemy of truth - always frustrate the intent of the inquisitive person that tries to assimilate the truth from the religious works of his nation into believing that absolute truth does not exist except in his old religious book .
What better example could be held , in the fact that the great philosopher of Benares not to find any truth in the universal brotherhood of man and the common fatherhood of God ? The philosopher , thinking in a particular way , you can not ever appreciate the beauty of the Christian faith. The way in which Christ thought of his own father was absolute love , and as the philosopher does not adopt this way of thinking, will always remain deprived of the absolute faith he preached the Western redeemer . Similarly , the Christian must adopt the mindset that the Vedantist followed, before you can love the conclusions of the philosopher. Thus, the critic must be an understanding soul , kind, generous , candid , impartial and sympathetic consideration .
" What is the Bagavata thing ? " - Asks the European gentleman who just came to India - mate says with a serene look that is a book Bagavata your employee Oriya read daily in the evening to a group of people they hear. Literature contains a wild rant and little understood of those men who paint the nose with some land or sandalwood, and accounts used on the whole body to procure salvation.
Another fellow who has traveled a little inside, immediately contradicts and proclaims that the Bagavata is a Sanskrit work which belongs to a sect of men ( the goswamis ) , which give mantras as the Popes of Italy to the common people Bengal , and forgive their sins in return for enough gold to pay for social spending . A third gentleman give a third explanation . Now a young Bengali , tied to the thoughts and ideas completely ignorant of English and pre - Mohammedan history of their own country , added further explanation , saying the Bagavataes a book that tells the story of Krishna , who was an immoral man and ambitious . This grandmother taught it when he went to school yet ! Thus , the great Bagavata remains still unknown to foreigners , as was the six blind elephant who touched in different parts of the body , however , truth is eternal and is never damaged by ignorance but temporarily.
