The Nectar of Devotion in chapter seven Srila Prabhupada says that atheism means challenging the authority of the Vedas or Sacred Scriptures and belittle the great acharyas or genuine spiritual teachers of the Vedic scriptures for the benefit of people in general.
Once Srila Prabhupada was giving a talk in Los Angeles to very important people , teachers , psychologists, PHDS , etc and openly said that a person who believes in God is a fool , a person he thought this very strong statement and told Srila Prabhupada would be better to call it silly or stupid , and Srila Prabhupada said that insanity is the sum total of all the stupid and everyone laughed heartily.
Anyone who disobeys the instructions given by the pure devotees of God as Jesus Christ, Srila Prabhupada , Mohammed, etc. , the result of offending the pure devotees of God above by refusing to obey his orders is that the person becomes an atheist, or a politician or philanthropist, or mayavadi at these great souls offend you lose the relationship with them, because the relationship with genuine spiritual masters comes through obedience . It would be great that all people who believe in God no matter what religion they belong to unite in the common ground that God is our only Savior, Lord and Master , and we are all eternal and loving servants of God. Unfortunately there are so many atheists , political , philanthropic and mayavadis disguising themselves devotees of God and pollute the whole atmosphere. One has to be very serious and sincere prayer to God and not to fall into the hands of those deceivers . It is said that the devotee of God experiences God through devotional service and the atheist experience God at the time of his death.
