Mercy

 Mercy, by Haripada dasa

By the mercy of Srila Prabhupada we understand that justice means the balance, each person has what they deserve, the law of karma, and that mercy is a much higher concept than justice, since mercy means that they are giving you something that you don't deserve A merciful person suffers when he sees others suffer and is happy when he sees others happy in God or Krishna consciousness.

Mercy and tolerance go hand in hand, a very merciful person is very tolerant, for example, envious people made many offenses to Jesus Christ, they humiliated him, beat him and crucified him, he had to tolerate the intolerable, however Jesus Christ was at the same time merciful and prayed to God to forgive their offenders because they did not know what they were doing, also the great devotee Srila Haridasa Thakura for chanting Hare Krishna the Muslims whipped him in twenty two markets, and the chief of the Muslims told the executioners that If they did not kill him he would kill all their families, and Srila Haridasa Thakura out of compassion for the executioners so that they would not kill their families went into a coma and died, the Muslims threw Srila Haridasa Thakura's body into the Ganges River, and when he touched the The water rose again and came out on the other shore singing Hare Krishna, seeing this the Muslims realized that they had committed a great offense to a holy person and they went there and t They went to the lotus feet of Srila Haridasa Thakura to forgive them, here we see a great difference between the Jewish and the Muslim race, to this day the Jews have never asked forgiveness for all the offenses they did to Jesus Christ, without However, the Muslims immediately apologized to Srila Haridasa Thakura for their offenses.

Materialistic people are neither merciful nor tolerant, to satisfy their palate they send millions and millions of innocent animals to the slaughter every day, and when they are at a traffic light and the car behind whistles turns green, the man grabs the fake ego and he gets out of the car and they fist it up.

Once a disciple of Srila Prabhupada told him in a sentimental plan to give him his mercy, Srila Prabhupada told him that I have given you 80 books of 400 pages each, if you read my books and practice what you read, the result of this will be that your latent love for God or Krishna will awaken and your human life will be a success, this seems to you little mercy. The difference between Srila Prabhupada and other gurus is that God or Krishna sent Srila Prabhupada from the spiritual world to do a mission on Earth, that is why he is called jagat-guru or saktyavesa avatara, the guru of the universe or the Savior of the world. , Srila Prabhupada's mission was to give us his books, he called their meanings his spiritual ecstasies, unfortunately many very demonic people have used the figure of Srila Prabhupada to satisfy their personal and selfish interests, and for doing this God or Krishna is punishing them very severely. The transcendental activities of God or Krishna and Srila Prabhupada bring pleasure to pious devotees, but for the envious, they bring pain.

How is health ?

How is health ?, by Haripada dasa

Hare Krishna, with love and confidence I share that yesterday I was talking with a friend of mine, he is a legal advisor, and he told me that this situation of the pandemic is making many people think, I told him that in the Harinama Chintamani it is said that the people start worshiping God out of fear of death.

I also told him that it is a time to encourage each other to move forward, and it is also a time of much prayer to God or Krishna and His representative Srila Prabhupada for help.

Another friend told me that the virus has stopped all materialistic civilization, and people are very scared. I told him that in the second chant of the Bhagavatam there is a chapter that says that Krishna consciousness is the only solution to all problems.

If we are able to understand and accept that everything we do is an offering of love and devotion to God or Krishna and His representative Srila Prabhupada, that God or Krishna is the owner of everything because He has created everything and that God or Krishna He is our best friend, the best friend is the one who never abandons you, and God or Krishna is always with us. If we are able to experience this we are living in the spiritual world.

The 26 Qualities of a Pure Devotee of God or Krishna, Part 3

The 26 Qualities of a Pure Devotee of God or Krishna, Part 3, by Haripada dasa

17- He does not eat more than he needs: Srila Prabhupada said that if one eats more, he will have to sleep more, and if one sleeps more than 6 hours a day he is influenced by ignorance, most of the Hindus are skinny , but they have an inconceivable energy.

18- He is always prudent: In Sriman Bhagavatam, ninth canto, chapter 16 it is said that Parasurama's father, Jamadagni, told his youngest son Parasurama to kill his brothers, for having disobeyed his order and his mother for having been Mentally unfaithful, Lord Parasurama knowing the power of his father, a master in the art of meditation and austerity, immediately killed his mother and brothers, Jamadagni, the son of Satyavati was very pleased with Parasurama and invited him to ask him whatever blessing he wanted, Lord Parasurama asked my mother and my brothers to live again and not remember that I killed them, that is the blessing he asked and Srila Prabhupada in the meaning says that it doesn't matter if we are Kartavyryarjuna, Jamadagni or Parasurama , or whoever, we must act with great prudence and sagacity, otherwise we will have to suffer the results of sinful activities, that is the lesson we get from the Vedic scriptures.

19- He is always respectful of others: Srila Gaura Kisora das babhaji always said that all living entities are worthy of my worship.

20- He does not demand respect for himself: Srila Prabhupada said that we should not demand respect from others, but inspire respect.

21- He is serious: It is said that the devotee of Krishna is so serious that it is very difficult to know his plans and his mentality, even the most intelligent people get confused when they see the words, activities and thoughts of the pure devotees of God.

22- He is merciful .: The symptom of a merciful person is that he is very tolerant.

23- He is friendly: A nickname of Maharaja Yudisthir is that he never created any enemy, the devotee of God or Krishna is so friendly that he even prays to God for his enemies and Srila Visvanatha Cakravatti Thakura says that this is the sign of a paramahansa , who wishes well even to his enemy.

24- He is poetic: Srila Prabhupada says in a class that poetic is not that he writes poetry, but that he writes spiritual literature.

25- He is an expert: I remember that in the Nectar of Devotion it says that the expert person is the one who does the most difficult thing, the most difficult thing to do in this world is to turn people into Krishna devotees, once They asked Srila Prabhupada that the great saints always perform miracles and what is your miracle, Srila Prabhupada answered you see all these people, before they were crows, now they are swans, I turn crows into swans, that is why Srila Prabhupada said that only one Pure devotee can make pure devotees, pseudo devotee cannot, worldly people envy Krishna's pure devotee, seeing him so expert in everything.

26- He is silent: Srila Prabhupada said that the silent person is the one who chants Hare Krishna 24 hours a day and preaches the glories of the Lord.

The 26 Qualities of a pure devotee of God or Krishna, Part 2

The 26 Qualities of a Pure Devotee of God or Krishna, Part 2, by Haripada dasa

11- He is peaceful: A person can be peaceful when he is free from material desires, I remember a song from a genuine acharya or spiritual master who said that the symptom that I will have gotten the mercy of Sri Nityananda is that I will be free from material desires and When Lord Nrisimhadeva told Prahlada Maharaja to ask for a blessing, he asked that in the bottom of my heart that I have no material desires.

12- He is always surrendered to Krishna or God: In my blog are all the songs of the saranagati or the surrender to the almighty God by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura, in the Harinama Chintamani chapter 13 it is said that the six principles of surrender to Krishna o God are: 1- the vow to accept everything favorable to the Lord's service, 2- reject anything that is unfavorable, 3- be convinced that Lord Krishna will always give protection, 4- depend completely on Krishna for everything, 5 -always feeling meek and humble and 6- throwing oneself at the lotus feet of Lord Krishna.

13- He has no material desires: I remember a meaning of Srila Prabhupada who said that there was a corner and a devotee wanted there to be a temple and now that temple is visited by millions of people, those are the wishes of the devotees, Srila Prabhupada said that you only have to wish and Krishna will make the arrangements, the only way to subdue material desires is to have spiritual desires and always making plans to please Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga.

14- He is very humble: Srila Krishna das kaviraja gosvami says in the Chaitanya Charitamrita that he is lower than the worms in the excrement, he is more sinful than Jagay and Madhay, that the one who says his name will lose all activities pious, that is humility, in the Kartika vrata of the year 1972 Srila Prabhupada said in the Radha Damodara in Vrindavana that we must always be ready to offer respects, not only to the devotees, but to everyone, because each living entity is originally a devotee of Krishna, but circumstantially, being covered by maya, he is acting like a demon, but his original nature is that of a devotee of Krishna, that is humility.

15- He is always fixed in his purpose: From faith to love for God there are 9 states of perfection, nistha or being fixed is the fifth, 1 is faith, 2 is association with devotees, 3 is the spiritual initiation, 4 is cleansing the heart from undesirable things, 5 is being fixed, 6 is feeling a taste in devotional service, 7 is feeling an attachment, 8 is feeling spiritual emotions while rendering devotional service and the 9 is the goal of human life, prema pumarto mahan, pure love for God or Krishna.

16- He has triumphed over the six material qualities: lust, anger, greed, envy, madness and illusion, in Srimad Bhagavatm 7,9,1 it is said that the Supreme Personality of Godhead and his devotee know use correctly lust, anger, greed, illusion, pride and envy, lust is spiritualized when we use everything in the service of Krishna, the example of this are the gopis of Vrindavana, anger is spiritualized when we use it to defend Krishna from his enemies, the example of this are Arjuna and Hanuman, greed is spiritualized when we use it to buy the ticket back home back to Godhead, I remember a meaning of Srila Prabhupada that says that the desire to leave with Krishna is not a wish that stirs the mind, the illusion is used a lot by the Sankirtaneros, I told a man that you have the face of a very good person, you look like the Pope, he immediately took out his wallet and gave me a donation of 100 dollars I told one mother who has the face of a saint, she immediately collaborated with me and told me that I collaborate because you have told me holy, pride, Srila Prabhupada said that the words of the spiritual master are the pride of the disciple, also pride is spiritualized when we become proud of Our acharyas or spiritual teachers who form our disciplic succession, what great personalities! They come from the spiritual world, we must not imitate the acharyas, but follow in their footsteps, I remember reading in the Nectar of Devotion that the devotee mahabhagavata is in raganuga , but to set an example to neophytes, act as a neophyte and envy, I remember in the centenary of Srila Prabhupada in the year 1996 the bbt of Spain promised in front of the Deities and 500 devotees that the Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita would print, there are countries very young people who have all of Srila Prabhupada's books translated and printed into their languages, that is transcendental envy.

The 26 Qualities of a Pure Devotee of God or Krishna, Part 1

The 26 Qualities of a Pure Devotee of God or Krishna, Part 1, by Haripada dasa

I will put this message in three parts:

1- He is always kind to everyone: People suffer from lack of God or Krishna consciousness, people have forgotten God or Krishna, and the devotee of God tries to distribute Krishna consciousness to people without discriminating against anyone, he Krishna's devotee is even kind to his enemy, when Durvasa Muni offended Maharaja Ambarisa, the king prayed to Krishna for the sage, and when Durvasa Muni threw himself at the lotus feet of Maharaja Ambarisa asking for forgiveness for his offenses he said that now I have recognized the devotees of God, although I have offended you, you have prayed for my good fortune.

2- He never seeks complaints: Srila Prabhupada bought land in Bombay from Mr. Nair, this person was very powerful, president of two newspapers, president of the supreme justice, etc., Mr. Nair had already swindled the C. Company He took away their money and land, now he wanted to do the same with Srila Prabhupada, but backfired, for having done so many offenses to Srila Prabhupada, he soon died, it is said in Krishna's book in relation to Kamsa that the demons because of their offenses reduce their lives, they lose the shine of the body, etc. Then Mr. Nair's wife threw herself at Srila Prabhupada's lotus feet and apologized for all the offenses, and Srila Prabhupada told her that you are like my daughter to me, you will never lack for anything.

3- His interest is in the essence of life, which is spiritual: That is what paramahansa or the great swan means, the swan has a quality that from a mixture of water and milk, it will take the milk and leave the water , spiritual means in the service of Krishna or God and His devotees, things when used in the service of Krishna are spiritualized.

4- He is fair with everyone: That comes in the verse of The Bhagavad gita pandita sama darsinaha, the humble sage by virtue of his true knowledge sees with the same vision a learned brahmana, a cow, an elephant, a dog and a dog eater.

5- No one can find fault in him: Srila Prabhupada said many times that materialists criticize devotees out of envy, he called them annoying people, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura Prabhupada said that one who is always used to criticizing others will never prosper.

6- His mind is magnanimous. Santa Teresa de Ávila of Spain used to say that the mind is the crazy person in the house, if you go down the street and you meet a crazy person who has escaped from the asylum and starts saying crazy things, what will you do? In the same way our mind is always telling us nonsense, and we must ignore it, when our mind is purified it will tell us devotional things, there we must pay attention, I advise you to read the mana siksa or preaching to the mind of Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura, pure nectar .

7- His mind is always pure. Keto darpanam marjanam, by chanting the Hare Krishna maha mantra we purify the mind of all material contamination.

8- His mind is always sharp. When we have a pure mind we will never forget Srila Prabhupada or Krishna or God and everything related to Them.

9- His mind is always devoid of material obsessions: Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura in his mana siksa says that the root of all the undesirable things that are in our heart is that one wants respect from others, Srila Prabhupada always said that they do not demand respect but inspire respect.

10- He is a benefactor for all living entities. It was Srila Rupa Gosvami who glorified Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu by saying that he was the greatest benefactor as he was giving Krishna consciousness or pure love for Godhead to everyone, and our Srila Prabhupada is the commander-in-chief of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's spiritual forces, Please don't see Srila Prabhupada as the guru of a few people, no, that is a big mistake, let's see Srila Prabhupada as the Jagat-guru the guru of the universe.

680 books

680 books, by Haripada dasa

I share another story of Sankirtana, it was the 1990 Christmas Marathon, we did it in Andalusia, southern Spain, we were 15 devotees and we rented a very large house for the entire month of December, in one day God or Krishna distributed through me 680 books, 340 Upadesamritas, the Nectar of Instruction and 340 Raja Vidyas, the King of Education, it was in a town in Seville, I arrived at the town at dawn, I parked the car in front of the Town Hall and began to distribute books, I was traveling with two bags of books, in one he carried the Upadesamrita and in the other the Raja Vidya, and he distributed the two books to people, a very funny story happened to me, I saw that an older man was watching me all morning as I distributed the books, And by the mercy of Krishna, this man also distributed books, when a person told me that he did not want the books, this older man approached and said to the man, as you say to the Missionary that you do not want the books, but if in the town tod Or the world has them, and began to say names of the townspeople who had bought the books, of course it was a town of about 10,000 inhabitants and there everyone knows each other, and this older man distributed in that way about 20 books, The truth is that the people of that town were very good people, from 9 in the morning until 1 PM, I had given 400 books, then I went to the car and I respected a giant sandwich of whole wheat bread with cheese and salad, I remember that Our cook and his assistant had many mystical powers, every day they cooked breakfast and made 15 giant sandwiches of whole wheat bread, they washed all the clothes of the devotees, and every day they went to the bank to enter the collection and washed the whole house every day, After respecting the sandwich I took a nap, and then in two more hours I distributed 280 books, even the local police encouraged me and told me you have to give all the books, you have to empty the car of books, that day I collected 82,000 pesetas or 820 dollars, after s from doing this one does not believe it, one only understands and accepts that this is the mercy of Srila Prabhupada and God or Krishna, and that one is only an instrument of them.

The world record for the distribution of Srila Prabhupada's books is held by a French devotee who in one day distributed 1,000 books of the great classics of India, they were Krishna's book that had almost 1,000 pages and the first song of El Srimad Bhagavatam which was over 1,000 pages long.

15 degrees below zero

15 degrees below zero, by Haripada dasa

I share more stories about Sankirtana, in 1986 we did the Christmas Marathon in Navarra, Spain, we were 15 devotees and we rented a very large apartment for the entire month of December, that winter was very hard, we were on the street distributing the first song From Srimad Bhagavatam, a luxury book with more than 1,000 pages, it was snowing and it was 15 degrees below zero, we rented a large van and put a butane stove inside, and when we could no longer bear the cold we went to the van to warm up , I would tell people, please, a question, and people would answer me that there is no time for questions, it was difficult to give the books, God or Krishna distributed through me every day from 20 to 25 Bhagavatams, I I think people bought our books out of compassion, I remember that we gave a Bhagavatam to a local policeman and this man called the Nueva Vrajamandala farm by phone and told them that here in Pamplona there are some young Hare Krishnas distributing the p In the first chant of Srimad Bhagavatam, I have read it and have come to the conclusion that these young people are heroes, because they are sacrificing their lives to give us the purest and most sublime message that can be given to human society.

This story that I am going to tell now is incredible, we were distributing the first song of El Srimad Bhagavatam, a luxury book with more than 1,000 pages in a car park in the center of Valencia, Spain, there were politicians, businessmen, professionals, etc., I gave a Bhagavatam to a very successful businessman, in a few minutes we made a great friendship, and when it was time to give me the donation he took out his wallet and told me that I do not know what to give you as a donation, and I with all the tranquility of the world I grabbed his wallet and looked in the wallet for the largest bill, I grabbed a bill of 10,000 pesetas or 100 dollars, when he saw this the businessman caught a fit of laughter, he began to laugh and he did not stop saying this to me I can believe it, I cannot believe it, his laughter infected me and I also started to laugh, when we laughed a lot, the businessman gave me his card and told me that if you want a job there you have your house, I told him thank you but I work for heh Supreme faith, God or Krishna, He is Pure Goodness and the Supreme Controller, the man was very pious and he told me that that is very good.
