Hare Krishna

daivīṁ māyām upāśritya
prasupta iva bhinna-dṛk
tapye dvitīye ’py asati
bhrātṛ-bhrātṛvya-hṛd-rujā

Word for word:

daivīm — of the Personality of Godhead; māyām — the illusory energy; upāśritya — taking shelter of; prasuptaḥ — dreaming while asleep; iva — like; bhinna-dṛk — having separated vision; tapye — I lamented; dvitīye — in the illusory energy; api — although; asati — temporary; bhrātṛ — brother; bhrātṛvya — enemy; hṛt — within the heart; rujā — by lamentation.

Translation:

Dhruva Mahārāja lamented: I was under the influence of the illusory energy; being ignorant of the actual facts, I was sleeping on her lap. Under a vision of duality, I saw my brother as my enemy, and falsely I lamented within my heart, thinking, "They are my enemies."

Purport:

Real knowledge is revealed to a devotee only when he comes to the right conclusion about life by the grace of the Lord. Our creation of friends and enemies within this material world is something like dreaming at night. In dreams we create so many things out of various impressions in the subconscious mind, but all such creations are simply temporary and unreal. In the same way, although apparently we are awake in material life, because we have no information of the soul and the Supersoul, we create many friends and enemies simply out of imagination. Śrīla Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja Gosvāmī says that within this material world or material consciousness, good and bad are the same. The distinction between good and bad is simply a mental concoction. The actual fact is that all living entities are sons of God, or by-products of His marginal energy. Because of our being contaminated by the modes of material nature, we distinguish one spiritual spark from another. That is also another kind of dreaming. It is stated in the Bhagavad-gītā that those who are actually learned do not make any distinction between a learned scholar, a brāhmaṇa, an elephant, a dog and a caṇḍāla. They do not see in terms of the external body; rather, they see the person as spirit soul. By higher understanding one can know that the material body is nothing but a combination of the five material elements. In that sense also the bodily construction of a human being and that of a demigod are one and the same. From the spiritual point of view we are all spiritual sparks, parts and parcels of the Supreme Spirit, God. Either materially or spiritually we are basically one, but we make friends and enemies as dictated by the illusory energy. Dhruva Mahārāja therefore said, daivīṁ māyām upāśritya: the cause of his bewilderment was his association with the illusory material energy.

Negative and positive changes

Negative and positive changes, by Haripada dasa

This message is related to the changes that have been made to Srila Prabhupada's books, these changes are negative and positive, this requires an explanation, an example of negative changes is for example verse 4, 34 of the Gita, in the original it says that the self-realized soul can impart knowledge to you because he has seen the truth, that is, he puts the guru in the singular, but they changed him and put the self-realized souls can impart knowledge to you because they have seen the truth, these changes have not been made to satisfy Srila Prabhupada but to satisfy the personal interests of the many iskcon gurus, or in other words, they belittled Srila Prabhupada to favor others, and that is a mistake and a great offense against Srila Prabhupada, in negative changes there is always malice against Srila Prabhupada, and now I expose the positive changes.

For example in the meaning of the Gita, 10, 29 it is said that there is also a planet of trees where Aryama presides, we all understand that there is no planet of trees, as I understand the devotee who was listening to Srila Prabhupada's tape and writing the Gita he understood it that way, but if you look at the verse word by word it says that pitrinam means of the ancestors or ancestors, so in the meaning it should put that there is also a planet of ancestors or ancestors where Aryama presides, another example of positive changes, in the CC, AL, 6, 73 Srila Prabhupada says in the purport that this verse was spoken by Queen Kunti, but actually that verse was spoken by Rukmini, positive changes means that we are helping Sria Prabhupada in his service of writing his books, and unlike the negative changes that are based on malice against Srila Prabhupada, the positive changes are based on love for Srila Prabhupada. I would like to know your opinion on all this.

Most amazing

Most amazing, by Haripada dasa

Once a great sage asked King Maharaja Yudisthir what is the most amazing thing there is, and the King replied that you see that relatives, friends and other people die, but one thinks that I will never die.

Usually people do not like to talk about death because they are very afraid, it is said that the devotee of God or Krishna experiences God through devotional service and that materialists and atheists experience God at the time of death. I remember a video of Srila Prabhupada speaking with some theologians and Srila Prabhupada telling them that God will come like death, and all his money, his prestige, his family, etc. It will be taken away, do you understand God now? God or Krishna says in the Bhagavat gita that I am death, I remember that in the fourth song of Srimad Bhagavatam to Maharaja Dhruva a plane from the spiritual world came for him and taking advantage that the personification of death came, he put his feet on the head of death to get on the plane, so until death he takes pleasure in serving the devotee of God or Krishna.

It is very interesting that the personification of death is represented as a skeleton with a harvest, that is to remind us that what you sow, harvest, in other words each person is the architect of his destiny, each one has what he deserves. , and God or Krishna also says that this material world is a place of suffering and temporary, someone can argue that I have a lot of money, women, material enjoyment, yachts, etc., that you have because you deserve it because surely in your life In the past you did many pious activities, but do not forget that everything is temporary. God or Krishna has created everything, therefore everything belongs to God or Krishna, as Srila Prabhupada always said that a person is honest and honest when he uses everything to serve God or Krishna and His devotees.

The process of God or Krishna consciousness is a scientific process, and it is for very brave people who want to raise their consciousness to a higher state, unhappily nowadays people think that God or Krishna things have already gone out of style. , now we are going to live full of lust, anger, greed, envy, pride and ignorance, and we are going to suffer and be deceived, that is true happiness, and out of envy they criticize and say that the devotees of God or Krishna are parasites of society, they do nothing for the country, for the family, always chanting The Maha-Mantra Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare (the H is read as J de jota), it is said that in the paradise of the foolish and ignorant, being a wise man is great foolishness.

Extra education

 Extra education, by Haripada dasa

I share this beautiful verse from The Bhagavad Gita, 9, 2, there it says that this spiritual knowledge is the king of education, the most secret of all secrets, it is the purest knowledge, and because it gives perception of the self through enlightenment, it is the perfection of religion, it is eternal and it is joyfully executed. Following in the footsteps of our spiritual master Srila Prabhupada I try to state the facts very logically, nowadays finding a balanced person is very difficult to say that finding a pure devotee of God, usually people are so absorbed in life material that they forget to feed the soul, the result of this is that people live full of anxieties and disturbed, a person full of anxieties and disturbed will never experience peace or happiness.

The other day a friend told me that now in Spain they are introducing meditation in schools, they see that children so young are so full of anxieties and disturbed that meditation will at least calm their mind. But they don't know what true meditation is, true meditation means finding God who is in the heart and following his instructions, the result of this is that one becomes divine. We urgently need extra education, spiritual education, the first lesson is to understand and accept that we are not the material body, but eternal spirit souls, and that the relationship with the body is temporary, but the relationship with God or Krishna is eternal and full of bliss. and knowledge. In the spiritual world there are three things, there is God or Krishna, there are his devotees and there is the love relationship between God or Krishna and His devotees, the spiritual world is our natural environment, the material world is the perverted reflection of the spiritual world, therefore Because here people live full of anxieties and disturbed, it is as if you took a fish out of the water and gave it all the material facilities, the fish would never be happy since its environment is water. The goal of human life is to know and love God and go back home to God.

There is a big difference between a teacher and a spiritual master, the teacher is paid a salary to give certain information, but the spiritual master is empowered and authorized by God or Krishna to bring people back to Godhead, of course provided that the disciple obeys his instructions.

Light and darkness

Light and darkness, by Haripada dasa

I share this beautiful verse from Srimad Bhagavatam, 1, 3, 43, which says that this Bhāgavata Purāṇa is as bright as the Sun, and has arisen just after Lord Kṛiṣhṇa's departure to His own abode, accompanied by religion, the knowledge, etc. People who have lost their vision due to the dense darkness of the age of Kali will have to receive the light of this Purāṇa. The essence of all the instructions in Srila Prabhupada's books is to come out of the darkness and come to the Light, and also in The Chaitanya Charitamrita it is said that God or Krishna is like the Light and maya or ignorance is like the dark, where God or Krishna is there can be no darkness. Also in the Bhagavad Gita, God or Krishna says that this energy of Mine, maya or darkness, is very difficult to overcome, but those who surrender to Me can easily overcome it, in other words, maya is controlled by Krishna, and when a soul obeys the laws of God or Krishna, Krishna tells His energy not to influence His devotee, thus the devotee enjoys full and total freedom. In the process of surrendering to God or Krishna one must: (1) accept everything that is favorable for the performance of devotional service, (2) reject everything that is unfavorable for it, (3) firmly believe in the protection of the Lord , (4) feel that you depend exclusively on the Lord's mercy, (5) have no interest apart from the Lord's interest, and (6) always be meek and humble.

The biggest problem today is the hypocrisy in people, hypocritical people put a stamp on themselves and say that I am Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hare Krishna, etc., but those people have no interest in knowing God and love him, their only interest is to have many followers and live like kings and fight each other, that is called Kali-yuga the current era full of hypocrisy and quarrels. At the end of the preface to the Bhagavad Gita, Srila Prabhupada says that we therefore hope that people will gain the greatest benefit of all through studying the Bhagavad-gītā as it is in the way we have presented it here, and if If only a man becomes a pure devotee of the Lord, we will consider our effort a success. One of Srila Prabhupada's most devoted and beloved devotees named Jayananda prabhu left the body a few months before Srila Prabhupada entered his Samadhi-lila, and Srila Prabhupada said that he had gone to Goloka Vrindavana, to the spiritual world, so we concluded that Srila Prabhupada's mission has been a complete success.

An ocean of mercy

An ocean of mercy, by  Haripada dasa

Srila Prabhupada is an ocean of mercy. The spiritual master receives the blessing of the ocean of mercy. Just as a cloud pours water on a forest fire to put it out, the spiritual master releases the afflicted material world by extinguishing the blazing fire of material existence. I offer my respectful obeisances to the lotus feet of that spiritual master, who is an ocean of auspicious qualities.

I share a very moving story, we were in Vrindavana, India, in the house of some Italian devotees, we were respecting some maha-prasada pizzas, a very old disciple of Srila Prabhupada arrived, I don't remember her name, but I know she was Lohitaksa's wife , she told us that Srila Prabhupada was in the temple in New York and they were doing guru puja, suddenly a person with very long hair and a beard and very dirty entered the temple as if it were a dog on all fours. He headed towards Srila Prabhupada, Srila Prabhupada recognized him immediately, and crying at Srila Prabhupada's lotus feet told him several times that forgive me I have failed you, Srila Prabhupada crying was stroking his head, and all the devotees in the guru puja were crying, then that person left and no one ever heard from him.

A few years ago I was talking to an Iskcon guru in Vrindavana, India, he told me that Srila Prabhupada deviated from the guru-parampara by ordering his disciples to initiate in his name or the Ritvik philosophy, as this philosophy does not come in the Sastras or Scriptures, when I heard this I thought that this person has less intelligence than a mosquito, I told him that Srila Prabhupada distributes his mercy to everyone, but if you do not want to obtain it, the fault is yours, Srila Prabhupada ordered his disciples who initiated in his name, this is supported by a special document that Srila Prabhupada sent to all Iskcon from Vrindavana, India, on July 9, 1977, anyone can read this document, and if you do not want to obey this order, blame It is not from Srila Prabhupada but from you. I also told him that according to Harinama-chintamani, the result of offending the guru is that one becomes a mayavadi or atheist. Then some years passed and we also saw each other in Vrindavana, and he said sorry for what I told you several years ago, I replied that you should not ask forgiveness from me, but from Srila Prabhupada.

The Cultured Person

The Cultured Person, by Haripada dasa

By the mercy of Srila Prabhupada we understand and accept that the cultured person is identified because he has three basic qualities, these are: 1) he sees all women as mothers, except his own wife. There are seven mothers: the original mother, the priest's wife, the king's wife, the spiritual master's wife, the nurse, the cow, and the Earth. 2) See the properties of others as straw in the street, in other words, be satisfied with what you have and not want or envy the goods of others and 3) Do to others what you would like them to do to you and not to do to others what you would not like them to do to you. Can you imagine a society made up of people with these qualities? It would be a perfect partnership. We see how nowadays people consider all women as their wives and their wife does not pay attention to her. There is an inordinate competition to surpass others, both personally and between nations and no one thinks about the welfare of others. They are all politicians, a politician is one who makes plans to be happy without thinking about the welfare of others. Nowadays a cultured person is considered for his diplomas and degrees and not for his qualities. The spiritual culture of India was killed by people who invented or speculated that one can belong to the high class or be a priest by birth, but in the Holy Scriptures it is said that one belongs to the high class or priest by qualities, not his birth matters.

Srila Prabhupada was authorized and empowered by God or Krishna to revive the spiritual culture of India, by his mercy and his instructions he turned people from all over the world who were like crows into swans. There is a story related to this topic: The Himalayas were going to give birth, to have offspring, and all the most important people in the universe gathered there, and everyone was in great expectation. Timpani and other musical instruments sounded, and what did Himalaya give birth? A mouse. Everyone was very frustrated. Thus, nowadays, so many austerities and sacrifices that people make to get a career, and then when they obtain the diploma, they have to go with their curriculum, wagging their tail like a puppy, looking for a master. This is very unfortunate. And in schools, in the past it was considered something very punishing for a child to throw paper balls at another child in the class, or not to pay attention to the teacher; But nowadays, a young man goes with a machine gun and begins to kill his companions for no reason, my God! how things have changed for the worse.

Today chaos reigns, finding a balanced person is very difficult, what to say to find a pure devotee of God or Krishna, so that all this negativity does not affect you one must be very strong spiritually, it is as if it is very cold , one bundles up and that's it. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati always said that whatever else they do as they want, it doesn't concern me, I already have enough work chanting Hare Krishna and being happy and free.

Brahmana and Vaisnava

Brahmana and Vaisnava, by Haripada dasa

Srila Prabhupada always said that you have to be conscious first and then Krishna conscious. A conscientious person is one who lives in the mode of goodness, for a person to live in the mode of goodness they have to live a life without sins and strictly follow the 4 regulative principles: 1- Do not eat meat, fish or eggs , 2- No gambling, 3- No illicit sex, only sex with your own wife to procreate and 4- No intoxication, no tea, no coffee, no tobacco and no alcohol. By chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra one will have spiritual strength to follow these four rules and regulations, the first thing Srila Prabhupada did is to give the Hare Krishna maha-mantra, and by chanting it one obtains the necessary strength and purification to be able to lead a life sinless and follow the 4 rules and regulations above. When Srila Prabhupada performed the first initiations in New York, then he put a piece of paper written in his own handwriting in the temple, on the paper it was said that all initiates must follow these 4 rules and regulations, and the devotees asked Srila Prabhupada what is there to follow those 4 rules and regulations? and Srila Prabhupada very happily replied that it is good that they have asked me, yes, those 4 rules and regulations must be followed.

In the Bhagavatam, 7, 11, 14 the 6 brahminical activities are said, by practicing them one becomes a brahmana: 1- Study the Sacred Scriptures or sastras, 2- Teach the sastras to others, 3- Worship the Deities, 4 - Teach others to worship the Deities, 5- Receive charity, and 6- Give charity.

In the verses of Srimad Bhagavatam, first canto, chapter 2, verses 17 to 21, the entire process of Krishna consciousness is explained in a scientific way. By serving Srila Prabhupada with faith, love, attachment and gratitude one acquires the 26 qualities of a Vaisnava: 1) He is always kind to everyone, 2) He does not seek quarrels, 3) His interest lies in the essence of life , which is spiritual, 4) He is equal to everyone, 5) No one can find fault with him, 6) His mind is magnanimous, 7) His mind is always pure, 8) His mind is always sharp, 9) His mind He is always devoid of material obsessions, 10) He is a benefactor to all living entities, 11) He is peaceful, 12) He is always surrendered to Krishna, 13) He has no material desires, 14) He is very humble, 15) He is always fixed on his purpose, 16) He has triumphed over the six material qualities such as lust and anger, 17) He does not eat more than he needs, 18) He is always prudent, 19) He is always respectful to others, 20) He does not demand respect for himself, 21) He is serious, 22) He is merciful, 23) He is friendly, 24) He is poetic, 25) He is expert and 26) He is silent. (The teachings of Lord Chaitanya, chapter XII, The Devotee).

Love for God

Love for God, for Haripada dasa

There is a spiritual book called the Madhurya Kadambini or the Nectar Clouds of Srila Visvanatha Chakravarti, there in a scientific way reveals all the experiences that we all must go through from faith to love for God, faith means that one obeys the instructions given in the holy scriptures, then one associates with the devotees, that increases the faith, then one is initiated by the authorized spiritual master, the initiation means that the disciples accept the instruction of the spiritual master and Kṛiṣhṇa accepts the disciple immediately to give him a spiritual body, the result of initiation is that one becomes purified of all the dirty things of the heart, such as lust, anger, greed, etc., then one becomes fixated on devotional service, then one likes the spiritual life, then one becomes attached to the spiritual life, then one experiences spiritual emotions and then one comes to love for God, and thus one fulfills the purpose of life Human love for God is eternally there in everyone's heart, and it is awakened when one practices Krishna consciousness. Ecstatic love for Kṛiṣhṇa (prema) is explained in the Bhakti-rasāmṛita-sindhu (1.41) with the following words: “When the heart has completely softened and is free from all material desires, and when emotional feelings become very strong, a person becomes very attached to Kṛiṣhṇa. This purified emotion is known by the name of pure love.

In the state of love for God or Krishna he considers his friends as useless as a desert, too big, and his home becomes like a thorn forest, the food becomes completely tasteless, the praise of other devotees seems to him like the bite of a snake, daily activities seem as painful as death. All the members of his body are like an unbearable burden, the consolation of his companions is like poison. Although he is constantly awake, he is awake. Like an ocean of penance, and if the dream comes it is seen as mortal (worldly) anguish. His body seems like the Lord's target of punishment. And breathing seems as sterile as sowing roasted grains. What else can be said? That what were always his favorite things are now abandoned as great calamities. Even thinking about the Lord is like tearing your body to pieces.

Cheers! Srila Prabhupada instructed us and said that everyone should follow Jayananda prabhu's example, let's all try to obey this instruction together and make Jagat-guru Srila Prabhupada Mahasaya happy, and not do anything that displeases him.

Blessings

  Blessings, by Haripada dasa

In relation to the blessings, Srila Prabhupada always told a very interesting story, once a Spiritual Master walked with his disciples, and in the course of the walk gave different blessings to several people, first they met with a King, and the Master Spiritual told him that I bless you to live, but do not die .... later on they met a butcher, and the Spiritual Master told him that I bless you not to live and not to die .... Then they met with a Pure devotee of God or Krishna and the Spiritual Master told you that you are the same as living and dying, hearing these blessings the disciples did not understand them and told the Spiritual Master to please explain the blessings and the Spiritual Master said That the King lives but does not die means that now that he is King, the opulence that God has given him instead of using it to serve God and His devotees, is using it for his gratification of his For that reason, live, but do not die because when you die you will have to spend a lot of time in hell, then the butcher you do not live or die, it means that this person his life is a hell, always cutting meat, his Hands full of blood, and when I die more hell, and the pure devotee of God or Krishna I said that you are the same as living and that you die, because living you are living with God or Krishna always, and when you die you will continue to live with God or Krishna And His devotees in the spirit world. A great Spiritual Master always said that he wrongly says that the devotees of God or Krishna die, they die to live, and living are always expanding the glories of God or Krishna and His devotees.

Nowadays there is no interest in knowing God and loving Him, people have very few reserves of pious activities from their past lives, from the time they get up until they go to bed they only do sinful activities, so their brain is full of cow droppings, Do not understand the simplest truths of life, there is only gratification of the senses, a demonic principle, the symptom that one has an interest in spiritual life is that he asks spiritual questions, for example what and who am I, why I do not want Suffer and suffer, what and who is God, how can I purify my existence, what awaits me after death, etc., when a person asks himself these questions he is said to be conscious of God, the problem is pride, one thinks I know everything, nobody is above me, I am the maximum, because of his pride that person will never learn from anyone, only the humble person learns from everyone.

Glories to Srila Jayananda Prabhu

Glories to Srila Jayananda Prabhu

We celebrate the disappearance of Srila Jayananda Prabhu, I share this glorification of Jayananda Prabhu, this great devotee is the example of the perfect disciple of Srila Prabhupada, this great devotee will be a great inspiration for future generations of devotees of Srila Prabhupada and Krishna, just as I I understand, the essence of this great soul is that all he did was for Srila Prabhupada to be happy, and he never did anything that displeased Srila Prabhupada, he was not a politician, I like him, he is my friend, he falls for me wrong, is my enemy, was humble, tolerant and everyone's friend, and never criticized anyone, Srila Prabhupada said that I am very proud to have had a disciple as good as Jayananda prabhu, everyone should follow his example. This great devotee enjoyed serving Srila Prabhupada and Krishna and the whole world, and that is the perfection of Krishna consciousness, that can only be done when one has awakened his great love for Srila Prabhupada and Krishna. As I understand it, only people who have sacrificed their lives to make Srila Prabhupada happy can receive the mercy of Krishna, if you want see a video about Jayananda Prabhu this is the link:

Srimati Radharani

 Srimati Radharani, by Haripada dasa

When Srila Prabhupada came to the USA he wrote some very beautiful poems, in one of them he said that I emphatically say to you, Oh, brothers! Only when Srimati Radharani is pleased with you will you obtain your good fortune from the Supreme Lord Krishna.

The 25 transcendental qualities of Srimati Radharani are:

1-She is sweetness personified.

2-She is a young girl.

3-His eyes are always moving.

4-She always displays a bright smile.

5-She has all the favorable marks on her body.

6-She can agitate Krishna with the aroma of her body.

7-She is an expert in the art of singing.

8-She can speak very sweetly and pleasantly.

9-She is an expert in showing female attractions.

10-She is modest and gentle.

11-She is always very merciful.

12-She is transcendentally cunning.

13-She knows how to dress beautifully.

14-She is always shy.

15-She is always respectful.

16-She is always patient.

17-She is very serious.

18-She is enjoyed by Krishna.

19-She is always located at the highest devotional level.

20-She is the abode of the residents of Gokula.

21-She can give shelter to all kinds of devotees.

22-She is always affectionate with superiors and inferiors.

23-She is always bound by the dealings of her associates.

24-She is the greatest among Krishna's friends.

25-She always keeps Krishna under her control.

In the 1972 KARTIKA VRATA Srila Prabhupada said: If we take shelter of the outer energy of Krishna, where forgetfulness of Krishna is very prominent, then we get further and further away from Krishna, but if we take shelter of the inner energy of Krishna, RADHARANI Because she is serving Krishna directly, as well as in Vrindavana, RADHARANI is always spoken of so that you can get closer to Krishna very easily, DAIVIM PRAKITIM ASRITAHA, the ease of Vrindavana is that if you take shelter of RADHARANI directly, He will help you get closer. to Krishna very soon, that is the idea when coming to Vrindavana.

Sufferings

 Sufferings, by Haripada dasa

We all understand and accept that sinful activities and ignorance are the causes of all our sufferings, in relation to this topic I share these two verses from Srimad Bhagavatam, 1, 8, 24 and 25, there it is said: My dear Kṛiṣhṇa, Your Your Lordship has protected us from a poisoned cake, from a great fire, from cannibals, from the vicious assembly, from sufferings during our exile in the forest and from the battle in which great generals fought. And now he has saved us from the weapon of Aśvatthama. I want all these calamities to occur over and over again, so that we can see You again and again, for seeing You means that we will no longer see repeated births and deaths.

Srila Prabhupada always said that if sufferings remind us of God or Krishna they are very welcome, and that the only way is to tolerate everything. Tolerance and mercy are qualities that go together, a person if he is merciful will be tolerant, and if he is not merciful he will not be tolerant, the example is Jesus Christ, he was done many offenses by demonic and envious people, and he tolerated everything to him. About praying to God for his offenders, he taught us by his example to love enemies. Of course he forgave his enemies for their offenses, but God or Krishna never forgives the offenses they do to His devotees, He shows His love by punishing the offenders, the story goes that the followers of Jesus Christ protested and said that because they were offending this person who is innocent and a very good person, and they answered that if this person is innocent, that the blood of this person passes through our generations, and so it has been and will be, as long as they do not ask for forgiveness for the offenses, those people they will suffer eternally for having offended a pure devotee of God.

It is said in the Srimad Bhagavatam, that the supreme worship of God or Krishna is to accept the sufferings of others in your own person, that is what a representative of God or Krishna does, at the moment of spiritual initiation the guru takes everything the karma of his disciple, and thus the disciple can be pure, Srila Prabhupada says in his books that because of the karma that the guru seizes from his disciples sometimes the guru has bad dreams or becomes ill.

Before and after

Before and after, by Haripada dasa

Before it means when Srila Prabhupada was in his physical form preaching Krishna consciousness, and after it means after Srila Prabhupada disincarnated or entered his lila samadhi, I have the 23 DVDs from the ITV collection on Srila Prabhupada, there you see the very happy and bright devotees in Krishna consciousness, there Srila Prabhupada was the center and the founding Acharya and everyone was very united to please Srila Prabhupada, Srila Prabhupada's wish and Krishna's is that when Srila Prabhupada entered his samadhi lila, everything would continue the same as before, that is why Srila Prabhupada ordered his disciples to initiate in his name, and he would continue to be the center and the spiritual master of all, that is called Jagat guru, the guru of the whole universe.

Unfortunately Srila Prabhupada's disciples made changes to Srila Prabhupada's books and did not obey the order to initiate in his name, and in an artificial way that is by vows (Srila Prabhupada says in El Chaitanya Charitamrita, Madhya Lila, 1, 220, that the choice of a guru is not made by votes), they became gurus because they think that they are at the same level as Srila Prabhupada, when Srila Prabhupada's Gurudeva entered his lila samadhi a very similar thing happened, there is a letter that Srila Prabhupada sent him to Rupaguna explaining what happened, there Srila Prabhupada says that his Gurudeva openly said to create a GBC and to all work together, and if they see someone who is self-effulgent they have to accept him as my successor, they did not obey these orders and the result is that now they all claim to be Acharyas, although they may be adhikaris kanisthas with no ability to preach, therefore we may make the same mistake in our ISKCON. Actually, among my godbrothers no one is qualified to become Acharya. So it is better not to mix with my godbrothers too intimately because instead of inspiring our students and disciples they can sometimes contaminate them. This attempt was previously made by them, especially Madhava Maharaja, Tirtha Maharaja and Bon Maharaja, but one way or another I saved the situation.

We accept that Srila Prabhupada is that self-effulgent person, but Gaudiya Matha does not recognize that, we do not mix with Gaudiya Matha. We do not mix with Srila Prabhupada's disciples who are betraying and offending Srila Prabhupada, they live in unconsciousness and that is the reason why they do not want to obey Srila Prabhupada, Srila Prabhupada, Krishna and everyone would like it. that Iskcon was led by people who obey and love Srila Prabhupada, it is always better to pray for others than to criticize, we pray to Srila Prabhupada and Krishna so that these people obey Srila Prabhupada and thus we would all be together and happy and bright in the Krishna consciousness.

I have served in Iskcon 1984-2008, Krishna has distributed through me more than a quarter of a million books of Srila Prabhupada and from my collection I have given them more than 500,000 dollars, they have deceived me but I do not bear any grudge They already have a bad enough misfortune to be the way they are. Now I feel happy and free in Krishna consciousness.

The ascending and descending process

The ascending and descending process, by Haripada dasa

There are two processes to receive knowledge, the ascending and descending process, I will try to explain them. A person believes that by his mental and intellectual power he will understand everything, who am I, who is God, what is the material creation, etc., this is called ascending process, in relation to this I share a very interesting story, to Saint Augustine is considered the greatest philosopher of the Christian Church, this saint was walking along the beach speculating on various philosophical issues, and he saw a child who was making a hole in the sand with a shovel, the saint asked the child who was doing and the boy replied that I am going to put all the water of the ocean in this hole, and Saint Augustine laughed and said that it was impossible, then the boy said that it was more impossible to want to understand things through speculation, and that the only way to understand things is when God is pleased with you, he will reveal everything to you, the only way to understand things is through the mercy of God, there Saint Augustine understood the essence of spiritual life, let us not forget that we are all born with four defects, 1- we have the tendency to make mistakes, to err is human, 2- we have the tendency to fall into ignorance, 3- we have the tendency to deceive others and 4- we have imperfect senses. Descending process means that God or Krishna transmits all eternal truths to Brahma, the first created creature, then Brahma transmits it to his son Narada, Narada to Vyasadeva, Vyasadeva to Madhvacharya, etc., this is called guru parampara or disciplic succession, and this knowledge comes pure and does not change, that's why Srila Prabhupada who is the 32nd spiritual master of this guru parampara chain always said that the philosophy of Krishna consciousness is very easy because we don't have to invent anything, we just repeat the messages given to us by the predecessor spiritual masters.

There are four sampradayas or spiritual schools authorized by God or Krishna that transmit descending knowledge, 1- the Brahma sampradaya whose Acharya or founding Master is Madhvacharya, 2- the Kumara sampradaya, the 4 Kumaras, whose Acharya or founding Master is Nimbarkacharya, 3- the Laksmi sampradaya, whose founding Acharya or Master is Ramanujacharya and 4- the Rudra or Siva sampradaya, whose founding Acharya or Master is Visnuswami. One must receive spiritual knowledge and mantras from these 4 spiritual schools. When Srila Prabhupada's teacher named Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Prabhupada was preaching Krishna consciousness all over India, when he met a guru he would ask you who has authorized you to be a guru, and then he would say that all these manufactured gurus are cheaters of first class. That is why Srila Prabhupada says in Srimad Bhagavatam, 4, 8, 54 that one should receive initiation from a guru authorized by the guru who preceded him.

Serious and sincere

Serious and sincere, by Haripada dasa

Srila Prabhupada always said that the devotee must be serious and sincere in his practices of Krishna consciousness, this also applies to mothers, serious and sincere means that one does not cheat himself or others, in other words, one is not a hypocrite, we in a practical way show Srila Prabhupada and God or Krishna that we are serious and sincere when we practice verses 2 and 3 of the Nectar of Instruction, there it is said that when someone gets too entangled in the following six activities, his devotional service is ruined; (1) Eating more than necessary, or accumulating more funds than required; (2) trying too hard for worldly things that are very difficult to obtain; (3) talk unnecessarily about worldly matters; (4) follow the rules and regulations of the Scriptures only for the sake of following them and not to advance spiritually, or reject the rules and regulations of the Scriptures and work independently or capriciously; (5) associating with worldly-minded persons who are not interested in cultivating Kṛishna consciousness; and (6) coveting worldly achievements, and there are six principles that are conducive to the performance of pure devotional service: (1) be enthusiastic, (2) exert yourself confidently. (3) be patient, (4) act according to the regulative principles [such as śravaṇaṁ kīrtanaṁ viṣṇoḥ smaraṇam: hearing, chanting and remembering Kṛishna, (5) abandoning the company of nondevotees, and (6) following in the footsteps of the previous ācāryas. These six principles undoubtedly ensure the complete success of pure devotional service.

In the Padma Purana it is said that so that we are not inhabitants of hell we have to be very careful with these 4 things, 1- see the Deity of Krishna as if it were a stone, 2- consider that the chanting of the Maha-Mantra Hare Krishna , Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare (the H is read as J for jot), is a mundane sound vibration, 3- see the charanamrita, or the water that washes the Deities as simple flowing water and 4- see the devotees from the material point of view.

Everyone's friend

 Everyone's friend, by Haripada dasa

Hare Krishna, I lovingly and confidently share a paragraph from a small book by Srila Prabhupada entitled Meditation and Superconsciousness:

We are looking for a friend to provide us with peace and quiet. That friend is Krishna, God. Just make friends with Him, and you will find that the whole world will become your friend. Since God is situated in everyone's heart, if you make friends with God, He will instruct everyone inwardly to treat you friendly. One who befriends the chief of police receives certain benefits. If you make friends with the president of the country, everyone will be your friend, since everyone is subordinate to the president. If you want something from an official, you just have to call the president and he will tell him: "Okay, help this man," and so everything is resolved. Just try to befriend God, and everyone else will become your friends. All people will become peaceful if they understand this beautiful truth, that God is the friend of all and that He is the supreme owner. Lord Chaitanya also explains this.

By the mercy of Srila Prabhupada and Krishna I have been from 1984 to 2011 distributing Srila Prabhupada's books, I will have spoken face to face with more than 4 million people, in this transcendental activity one experiences that Krishna is the supreme controller and that one is his loving servant, in Guatemala twice Lord Nrisimhadeva saved my life, Srila Prabhupada always said that we should pray to Lord Nrisimhadeva for protection and blessings to be able to preach. Wherever you go you will see selfishness, hypocrisy and fighting, but as Srila Prabhupada says in this paragraph that all people will become peaceful if they understand this beautiful truth, that God is the friend of all and that He is the supreme owner. Lord Chaitanya also explains this.

Share, Part 2

Share, Part 2, by Haripada dasa

I share that yesterday I saw a video of Srila Prabhupada that spoke of swans and crows, this is very interesting, pure devotees of God or Krishna are compared to swans, swans have the ability to extract from a mixture of milk and water only milk and leave the water, likewise the pure devotees of God or Krishna have the ability to extract the spiritual part of everything and leave the material part, swans like to live in clean places, with clear water full of lotus flowers, likewise pure devotees of God or Krishna like good philosophy, take food offered to God or Krishna, go to temples where there is a peaceful atmosphere with incense, crows do not like that, People who are like crows do not like that, they go to dirty places, where meat, fish and eggs are eaten, nightclubs, where there is alcohol and drugs, it is a practical fact that birds of the same plumage fly together, crows they don't go where the swans, they don't like it, and swans don't go where crows are, they don't like it, another difference between people who are like swans and those who are like crows is that pure devotees of God or Krishna are free from lust and of greed, and those who are like ravens, are full of lust and greed.

Once some reporters went to do an interview with Srila Prabhupada, one of them told him that all great spiritual personalities like you do great miracles, what miracles you have done, Srila Prabhupada was surrounded by his disciples and he replied that you see all these people Before coming to Krishna consciousness they were addicted to all kinds of sinful activities, they ate meat, fish and eggs, they were addicted to alcohol and drugs, they played games of chance and they also had illicit sex, they were like crows, now They are swans, now they only eat prasada or food offered to God or Krishna, they only drink pure water, they do not play games of chance because they are completely satisfied with what they have, and if they marry they only have sex to procreate and if not they practice celibacy, Turning crows into swans seems a little miracle.

Srila Prabhupada's Men

Srila Prabhupada's Men, by Haripada dasa

Srila Prabhupada's men are people who have decided to use their lives to please Srila Prabhupada. Srila Prabhupada's men are by nature meek and humble, but when they see that there are people who offend Srila Prabhupada they are like lightning bolts. In the same way that drug addicts cannot do without their drug, Srila Prabhupada's men cannot live without reading Srila Prabhupada's books every day. Srila Prabhupada's men are always making plans for people to be happy in Krishna or God consciousness. Srila Prabhupada's men are the smartest people because they are always chanting Hare Krishna. Srila Prabhupada's men love even their enemies. Srila Prabhupada's men never engage in sense gratification. Srila Prabhupada's men are the only people who have overcome lower taste by finding great satisfaction in higher taste.

Srila Prabhupada's men are assured of their return home, their return to Godhead. Srila Prabhuada's men use everything for the service of Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga. Srila Prabhupada's men are obedient to Srila Prabhupada's instructions. Srila Prabhupada's men have no time for maya. Srila Prabhupada's men understand and accept that Srila Prabhupada is the Acharya through his books for the next 10,000 years. Srila Prabhupada's men establish relationships with other devotees based on spiritual love and trust. Srila Prabhupada's men are very careful to offend any moving or immobile living entity. Srila Prabhupada's men have found a taste in being the servants of others. Srila Prabhupada's men have decided that their love is for Srila Prabhupada. Srila Prabhupada's men understand and accept that many unauthorized people have used Srila Prabhupada for a living.

Srila Prabhupada's men understand and accept that Srila Prabhupada is our direct link to the guru-parampara. Srila Prabhupada's men understand and accept that Srila Prabhupada is the Jagat-guru the guru of the universe and to all devotees who have accepted Srila Prabhupada as the way, the truth and the life offer their respectful obeisances. Srila Prabhupada's men establish a friendly relationship and see all the devotees who have accepted Srila Prabhupada as their Gurudeva as godbrothers. Srila Prabhupada's men obey Srila Prabhupada's order to initiate on his behalf, they don't speculate.

Lead by example

Lead by example, by Haripada dasa

Western educators say: “Don't follow me; follow my words ”; Or, put another way: "Do not do what I do, but what I say." Srila Prabhupada's life refutes this principle, as he applied all the instructions in his books in his own life and was a vivid example of them. There is not a single instruction in his books that he has not personally followed, and therefore there is no disparity between his writings and his life; between his actions and his words.

Srila Prabhupada taught us that a true spiritual master is one who preaches with his personal example, once Sanatana Goswami told Haridasa Thakura that you are the perfect devotee of God or Krishna, there are those who preach but do not practice and there are those who practice but not preach, but you practice everything you preach.

I share a beautiful verse from the Bhagavad gita, 3, 21, there it says that common men follow in the footsteps of a great man, whatever action he performs. And whatever guidelines he establishes through exemplary acts, the whole world follows them, and in the purport Srila Prabhupada says that the generality of people always requires a leader who can teach them through their behavior in practice. A leader cannot teach people to quit smoking if he smokes himself.

Srila Prabhupada always said that what people like the most is to be deceived and suffer, and he also said that one of the great impediments to expanding Krishna consciousness is the large number of deceivers there are, and how people She is so lazy to do the spiritual awakening they take advantage and tell people you give me 30 euros and I will give you a mantra and in six months you will be God, and people are so stupid that they believe it. That is why this society is one of deceivers and deceived.

The words convince, but the example drags. In the Jaiva dharma it is said that if someone gives religious advice without practicing it himself, it becomes a source of evil for the world.

Two thoughts to ponder:

1- Give good advice to a wise person and they will appreciate it and give good advice to a foolish person and they will get angry.

2- If you have nectar in your heart you will never give poison and if you have poison in your heart you will never give nectar.
