Upper and lower knowledge

Upper and lower knowledge
I share here a verse from CCML, 19, 17, Here Srila Prabhupada explains the superior and inferior knowledge.
TEXT 17
bhaṭṭācārya paṇḍita biśa triśa lañā
bhāgavata vicāra karena sabhāte vasiyā
SYNONYMS
bhaṭṭācārya paṇḍita—learned scholars known as bhaṭṭācāryas; biśa triśa—twenty or thirty; lañā—taking with him; bhāgavata vicāra—discussion of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam; karena—does; sabhāte vasiyā—sitting in an assembly.
TRANSLATION
Śrī Sanātana Gosvāmī used to discuss Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam in an assembly of twenty or thirty learned brāhmaṇa scholars.
PURPORT
Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura gives the following commentary on the words bhāgavata vicāra. As confirmed in the Muṇḍaka Upaniṣad (1.1.4,5), there are two kinds of educational systems:
dve vidye veditavya iti, ha sma yad brahma-vido vadanti-parā caivāparā ca. tatrāparā ṛg-vedo yajur-vedaḥ sāma-vedo 'tharva-vedaḥ śikṣā kalpo vyākaraṇaṁ niruktaṁ chando jyotiṣam iti. atha parā yayā tad-akṣaram adhigamyate.
"There are two kinds of educational systems. One deals with transcendental knowledge [parā vidyā] and the other with material knowledge [aparā vidyā]. All the Vedas-Ṛg Veda, Yajur Veda, Sāma Veda, Atharva Veda and their corollaries known as śikṣā, kalpa, vyākaraṇa, nirukta, chanda and jyotiṣa-belong to the inferior system of material knowledge [aparā vidyā]. By parā vidyā, one can understand the akṣara, Brahman or the Absolute Truth." As far as Vedic literature is concerned, Vedānta-sūtra is accepted as the parā vidyā. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is an explanation of that parā vidyā. Those who aspire for liberation (mukti or mokṣa) and introduce themselves as vaidāntika are also equal to those groups aspiring to improve religion (dharma), economic development (artha) and sense gratification (kāma). Dharma, artha, kāma and mokṣa are called catur-varga. They are all within the system of inferior material knowledge. Any literature giving information about the spiritual world, spiritual life, spiritual identity and the spirit soul is called parā vidyā. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam does not have anything to do with the materialistic way of life; it gives transcendental information to educate people in the superior system of parā vidyā. Sanātana Gosvāmī was engaged in discussing the bhāgavata-vidyā, which means he discussed transcendental superior knowledge. Those who are karmīs, jñānīs or yogīs are not actually fit to discuss Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. Only Vaiṣṇavas or pure devotees are fit to discuss that literature. As stated in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam itself (12.13.18):
śrīmad-bhāgavataṁ purāṇam amalaṁ yad vaiṣṇavānāṁ priyaṁ
yasmin pāramahaṁsyam ekam amalaṁ jñānaṁ paraṁ gīyate
yatra jñāna-virāga-bhakti-sahitaṁ naiṣkarmyam āviṣkṛtaṁ
tac chṛṇvan supaṭhan vicāraṇa-paro bhaktyā vimucyen naraḥ
Although Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is counted among the Purāṇas, it is called the spotless Purāṇa. Because it does not discuss anything material, it is liked by transcendental Vaiṣṇava devotees. The subject matter found in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is meant for paramahaṁsas. As it is said: paramo-nirmatsarāṇām. A paramahaṁsa is one who does not live in the material world and who does not envy others. In Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, devotional service is discussed to arouse the living entity to the transcendental position of jñāna (knowledge) and vairāgya (renunciation). As stated in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (1.2.12):
tac chraddadhānāḥ munayo
jñāna-vairāgya-yuktayā
paśyanty ātmani cātmānaṁ
bhaktyā śruta-gṛhītayā
"That Absolute Truth is realized by the seriously inquisitive student or sage who is well equipped with knowledge and who has become detached by rendering devotional service and hearing the Vedānta-śruti."
This is not sentiment. Knowledge and renunciation can be obtained through devotional service (bhaktyā śruta-gṛhītayā), that is, by arousing one's dormant devotional consciousness, Kṛṣṇa consciousness. When Kṛṣṇa consciousness is aroused, it relieves one from fruitive activity, activity for economic improvement and material enjoyment. This relief is technically called naiṣkarma, and when one is relieved, he is no longer interested in working hard for sense gratification. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is Śrīla Vyāsadeva's last mature contribution, and one should read and hear it in an assembly of realized souls while engaging in devotional service. At such a time one can be liberated from all material bondage. This was the course taken by Sanātana Gosvāmī, who retired from government service to study Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam with learned scholars.

My conclusion is that people who are in lower knowledge do appreciate people who are in higher knowledge, they benefit a lot, but if they envy and criticize people who are in higher knowledge, their future is very dark .

Interesting points,

Interesting points, by Haripada dasa
One of the interesting points is in the biography of Bhaktivinoda Thakura, he is a Nitya Siddha, an eternally perfect soul, and yet there were people who criticized and envied him, and as time went by those people realized that Bhaktivinoda Thakura He was a pure soul, a pure devotee of God or Krishna, and they went to apologize for their offenses, and Bhaktivinoda Thakura always forgave them.
Another point is that I remember a class of Srila Prabhupada talking about Gaura Kisora Das Babaji, Srila Prabhupada said that there were many materialistic people who were going to visit him, but that they had no spiritual interests, they thought, now I have 1 million rupees, and with the Blessings of the Babaji I will have 2 million rupees, and I will not give the Babaji anything to die of hunger, and so many people were foolish to visit the Babaji, and they in their foolishness thought that I had achieved all the Babaji's mercy , but in reality they never got any mercy from the Babaji, sometimes the Babaji not to see these people was singing The Maha-Mantra Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare in public toilets, and I thought they won't come here because it smells so bad here.
Another point is that at the beginning, Srila Prabhupada to expand his movement initiated people in a very easy way, I remember a class in which a guest shouted that I want to start with you, and Srila Prabhupada told him that you should answer two questions, one is who God is, and the guest replied that God is Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and then told him who you are, and he replied, that I am not the body, I am an eternal, eternal and eternal spiritual soul. Krishna's loving servant, and Srila Prabhupada told him that tomorrow I will initiate you.
Then Srila Prabhupada became more strict with the initiations, I remember a walk that said that initiating a person is not a joke, the Guru takes all the sinful reactions of the person, and if that person obeys the instructions of the Guru it will always remain pure. But if it falls that is your fault.
Thought to meditate:
A great person never takes into account the sins of those who have offended him. Instead, at all costs, he keeps his promise not to return evil for evil, because he knows that good behavior is the ornament of virtuous people.

Offenses against Guru and Vaisnavas

Offenses against Guru and Vaisnavas
Hare Krishna, with love and confidence I share this very important verse of Chaitanya Charitamrita, Madhya, 19, 156:
TEXT 156
yadi vaiṣṇava-aparādha uṭhe hātī mātā
upāḍe vā chiṇḍe, tāra śukhi' yāya pātā
SYNONYMS
yadi—if; vaiṣṇava-aparādha—an offense at the feet of a Vaiṣṇava; uṭhe—arises; hātī—an elephant; mātā—mad; upāḍe—uproots; vā—or; chiṇḍe—breaks; tāra—of the creeper; śukhi'-shriveling up; yāya—goes; pātā—the leaf.
TRANSLATION
"If the devotee commits an offense at the feet of a Vaiṣṇava while cultivating the creeper of devotional service in the material world, his offense is compared to a mad elephant that uproots the creeper and breaks it. In this way the leaves of the creeper are dried up.
PURPORT
One's devotional attitude increases in the association of a Vaiṣṇava.
tāṅdera caraṇa sevi bhakta-sane vāsa
janame janame haya, ei abhilāṣa
By his personal example, Narottama dāsa Ṭhākura stresses that a devotee must always remember to please his predecessor ācārya. The Gosvāmīs are represented by one's spiritual master. One cannot be an ācārya (spiritual master) without following strictly in the disciplic succession of the ācāryas. One who is actually serious in advancing in devotional service should desire only to satisfy the previous ācāryas. Ei chaya gosāñi yāra, mui tāra dāsa. One should always think of oneself as a servant of the servant of the ācāryas, and thinking this, one should live in the society of Vaiṣṇavas. However, if one thinks that he has become very mature and can live separate from the association of Vaiṣṇavas and thus gives up all the regulative principles due to offending a Vaiṣṇava, one's position becomes very dangerous. Offenses against the holy name are explained in Ādi-līlā (Chapter Eight, verse 24). Giving up the regulative principles and living according to one's whims are compared to a mad elephant, which by force uproots the bhakti-latā and breaks it to pieces. In this way the bhakti-latā shrivels up. Such an offense is especially created when one disobeys the instructions of the spiritual master. This is called guru-avajñā. The devotee must therefore be very careful not to commit offenses against the spiritual master. As soon as one is deviated from the spiritual master, the uprooting of the bhakti-latā begins, and gradually all the leaves dry up.

My conclusion is that in the verse before this Srila Prabhupada says that no one, no matter how high, should abandon the irrigation process of śravaṇa-kīrtana or listen and sing. If that process is abandoned, it is due to an offense. In other words, the symptom that one has offended the guru and the devotees is that he stops singing and listening, one thing that has helped me a lot is being grateful, when I start singing the rounds I pray to Srila Prabhupada and Krishna to bless me to sing without offenses and not to offend any mobile or immobile living entity, and when I finish the rounds, I always thank Srila Prabhupada and Krishna for letting me follow the process of Krishna consciousness.

Mukunda Dasa and Raghunanda Thakura

Mukunda Dasa and Raghunanda Thakura
Hare Krishna, I share a spiritual story:
One day, his father, Mukunda Dasa, who was a doctor, had to go on a medical business trip. He called Raghunandana at his side. He told Raghunandana candle because the Deity is served with great care and attention. He told him not to stop feeding the Deity. At the appointed time, taking his father's order in the head, it was Raghunandana doing the service. He took the food offering for the Deity. Raghunandan was just a child and told the Deity: "Come Eat!" When he saw that the offering seemed intact, he began to cry. Being unable to resist the intense devotion of the child, Krishna ate everything on the plate, leaving no remains.
When Mukunda Dasa returned, he asked the boy: "Bring me the remains of the prasada of the offering he made previously." The boy said: "Father, listen. I made the Deity eat as you told me. He left no remains. He ate the whole plate." Mukunda was amazed at what the boy was saying. He ordered the boy to offer food as before, Mukunda hid outside the house and looked out the window. Raghunandana, then, with great joy, offered Gopinatha a laddu. "! Come Eat!" , said. The Lord ate half of the laddu. Meanwhile, Mukunda, who was watching from outside, saw all this with great astonishment. He could understand that the Deity had already eaten once, and since he left no remains, his hunger was satisfied. As a result, he could only finish half of the laddu.
Then Mukunda Dasa and Raghunanda Thakura went to Puri to see Lord Gauranga, and in CCML, 15, from verses 112 to 117 Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu asked Mukunda who was the son and who was the father:
CC Madhya 15,112. Śrī Chaitanya Mahāprabhu then turned His attention to three of the people who had come from Khaṇḍa: Mukunda dāsa, Raghunandana and Śrī Narahari. CC Madhya 15,113. Śrī Chaitanya Mahāprabhu, the son of mother Śacī, then asked Mukunda dāsa: «You are the father and Raghunandana is your son. Isn't that right? CC Madhya 15,114. «Or is Śrīla Raghunandana your father and you his son? Please explain the situation to me, so that My doubts disappear. ”, CC Madhya 15,115. Mukunda replied: «Raghunandana is my father, and I am his son. That is my conclusion, CC Madhya 15,116. «All of us have achieved devotion to Kṛṣṇa thanks to Raghunandana. Therefore, I consider him my father. ”, CC Madhya 15,117. Hearing Mukunda express that wise conclusion, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu confirmed it by saying: “Yes, it is correct. He who gives rise to devotion to Kṛṣṇa is certainly the spiritual master.
My conclusion is that my attachment and my love is for Srila Prabhupada and for God or Krishna, and other people have to be tolerated, that is the solution to get along with everyone, tolerate, tolerate and tolerate, and when I see someone He wants to control me, I immediately break the relationship with that person.

Do as I have done

Do as I have done, by Haripada Dasa
Srila Prabhupada always said: "Do as I have done." And what was Srila Prabhupada doing, chanting Hare Krishna, respecting a simple prasada, fulfilling the orders given by his gurudeva, preaching Krishna consciousness, tolerating all the criticisms made by the brahmana or brahmana caste of India, the criticisms made by his spiritual brothers, before entering his samadhi lila said that they were poisoning them, and tolerates that most of his disciples have not wanted to obey his order to start in his name and have made his movement a madhouse, I I was thinking that if Srila Prabhupada has done all that, what can they do to us.
I remember that Jesus always told his disciples to remember, that if they hit you, they hit me before, remember, that if they crucify you, they crucified me before.
As I understand the wish of God or Krishna is that Srila Prabhupada is the acharya for the next 10,000 years through his books and through his serious and sincere followers. It is a practical fact that there are people who are against the desire of God or Krishna, these people are severely punished by material nature in the form of illnesses, both physical and mental.
Yesterday I was told by a devotee that I cannot understand how it is possible that devotees cannot choose Srila Prabhupada as their eternal savior, and instead of doing this they choose very strange people as their saviors. I told the devotee that everything is correct, for very serious and sincere people in the spiritual life, God or Krishna makes all arrangements to connect with Srila Prabhupada and his serious and sincere followers, and for people who do not They are so serious and sincere, God or Krishna makes arrangements for them to connect with first-class deceivers, God or Krishna pleases everyone, both the good and the bad, a grassy grass does not move without God's will or Krishna, not a snowflake falls without the will of God or Krishna.
Imitating Srila Prabhupada is very dangerous, at the end of text five of the Upadesamrita Srila Prabhupada says that if one is not self-realized, one should not imitate the behavior of the devout maha-bhagavata, because it will eventually be degraded by such imitation. We have seen this a lot in Iskcon, people without any spiritual experience allow them to do three days of Vyasa puja with great opulence knowing that Srila Prabhupada who is a Saktyavesa Avatara is only done one day of Vyasa puja, only a crazy band and from angry wraps they do these things.
Thoughts to meditate
The worst loss there is is to forget God or Krishna and His representative Srila Prabhupada.
Those who are humble despite all their wisdom are very good devotees of God or Krishna.
False or unauthorized gurus preach love to power, instead of pure love for God or Krishna, and preach division, rather than unity.
Today the atmosphere is so polluted that it is not easy to distinguish who are the destroyers and who are the benefactors.

The only way to meet us

The only way to meet us, by Haripada dasa
The first thing Srila Prabhupada did is inform us that we are not the temporal material body, but eternal spiritual souls, aham brahmasmi, jivera svarupa haya nitya Krishna dasa and gopi kamalayor dasadasadanudasa, this means that we are all eternal, loving and eternal servant spiritual souls of Krishna and His devotees and the servant of the servant of the servant of Krishna, the lover of the gopis, that is our eternal constitutional position, that never changes, and when we think that I am a brahmana or priest, a father of a family, they are my children, I am American, Italian, etc., that is called being covered with designations, designations mean misconceptions that chain you to the material world.
That is why Srila Prabhupada said that the first thing to do in Krishna consciousness is to free ourselves from the designations, and identify ourselves in our eternal constitutional position, and that is the only way to know each other, you imagine a society in which God or Krishna is the center, and everyone else has spiritual vision and only live to satisfy the center, that is, God or Krishna, that would be the spiritual world on Earth.
The cause of all people's sufferings is that we do not know how to relate to spiritual vision.
When one reads the Bhagavatam, he understands that when the Earth was ruled by holy kings such as Lord Ramachandra, Maharaja Yudisthira, Bharata Maharaja, etc., there was no materialism or atheism on Earth, all were devotees of Krishna, and nature was very kind, it was neither intense nor hot nor cold, there were no earthquakes, floods, etc., everyone was happy and prosperous, but now wherever you go people are full of envy, selfishness, hypocrisy and the tendency to fight with others are very strong, that's why Srila Prabhupada says in his books that when the holy kings ruled, the Earth was heaven, but now the Earth is ruled by hellish presidents and it is hell, those who fear these infernal rulers, to take refuge in the process of Krishna consciousness.
The conclusion is that the only way to know each other is on the spiritual level, on the material level that is not possible, I remember that when I settled in Spain in 2011, I met many people who knew me, and I I told everyone that I am not interested in having a material relationship with others, I am only interested in a spiritual relationship, and I was very surprised to see that people respected this decision of mine, and some even had an interest in knowing what it means a spiritual relationship, then I inform you about Krishna consciousness.
