Very strange and curious things
Very strange and curious things, by Javier Figuerola or Haripada dasa
In this life I have seen very strange and curious things, I am going to share some of them.
I heard a news that several countries have made a giant device that costs 8 billion euros to launch it into space, what a strange and curious thing, here on Earth there are so many people who are dying of hunger and these people to satisfy the caprice of scientists spend 8 billion euros.
There are many women who enthusiastically go to countries where children are starving, and what a strange and curious thing, and those same women when they get pregnant kill their children through abortion.
And the strangest and most curious thing is that people who have a lot of money build big houses, have nice cars, a bank account with many numbers, etc., they think that they will never die and that they will live here eternally, but we can forget that we have to die, but death does not forget, death always arrives at its right moment. Once Srila Prabhupada was talking to some theologians and telling them that God or Krishna will come in the form of death and take away everything, now understand God ?, Materialists and atheists experience God or Krishna at the time of death , and the devotees of God or Krishna experience God or Krishna at every moment of their lives through devotional service to God or Krishna and His devotees.

The three modalities
The three modalities, by Javier Figuerola or Haripada dasa
In material nature there are three modes, ignorance, passion and goodness. Everything we do in this material world is influenced by these three modalities, today people live very influenced by the modes of ignorance and passion, and very few people live in the mode of goodness, people who live in ignorance have neither enjoyment nor knowledge, are like animals or lower than animals, if a person dies or leaves the body in ignorance goes to the lower or infernal planets, there she suffers all sinful reactions and is trained to that takes an animal body, if one dies or leaves the body in the passion lives in the intermediate planets, the Earth is an intermediate planet, and if one dies or leaves the body in the goodness goes to the upper or heavenly planets, there that person enjoys the reactions of his pious activities and when he is finished he is reborn on Earth. Once a devotee asked Srila Prabhupada how we can always be living in the mode of goodness, and Srila Prabhupada replied that only when a devotee follows the four regulative principles, that is to say that he abandons illicit sexual life, the games of chance, drugs and the consumption of meat, fish and eggs and sings every day the 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare (the H is read as J de jota) or 27,648 names of God in his rosary, that person will live in the mode of goodness.
Srila Prabhupada always said that one should always be conscious and then conscious of God or Krishna, a person is conscious when he lives in the mode of goodness, and lives consciously of God or Krishna when he never forgets God or Krishna and His devotees. The result of practicing Krishna consciousness is that one transfers from the material energy to the spiritual energy, and even being in the material world that person lives in the spiritual world, that is to live in pure goodness without any mixture of ignorance, passion and kindness People who leave the body in pure goodness go back to God or Krishna in the spiritual world, and never return to this world full of suffering and temporary.

The sufferings
The sufferings, by Javier Figuerola or Haripada dasa
We all understand and accept that sinful activities and ignorance are the causes of all our sufferings. In relation to this theme I share these two verses of Srimad Bhagavatam, 1, 8, 24 and 25, there it is said: My dear Kṛṣṣṇa, Yours Your Honor has protected us from a poisoned cake, from a great fire, from cannibals, from the vicious assembly, from sufferings during our exile in the forest and from the battle in which great generals fought. And now it has saved us from Aśvatthama's weapon. I want all those calamities to happen again and again, so that we can see you again and again, because seeing you means that we will no longer see the repeated births and deaths. Srila Prabhupada always said that if suffering reminds us of God or Krishna they are very welcome, and that the only way is to tolerate everything. Tolerance and mercy are qualities that go together, a person if he is merciful will be tolerant, and if he is not merciful he will not be tolerant, the example is Jesus Christ, he was made many offenses by the demoniac and envious people, and he tolerated everything at point of praying to God for his offenders, he taught us by his example to love enemies. Of course he forgave his enemies for their offenses, but God or Krishna never forgives the offenses they make to His devotees, He demonstrates His love by punishing the offenders, tells the story that the followers of Jesus Christ protested and said that because they were offending this person who is innocent and a very good person, and they answered that if this person is innocent, that the blood of this person passes through our generations, and this has been and will be, as long as they do not apologize for the offenses, those people they will suffer eternally for having offended a pure devotee of God.
It is said in the Srimad Bhagavatam, that the supreme worship of God or Krishna is to accept the sufferings of others in your own person, that is what a representative of God or Krishna does, at the time of spiritual initiation the guru takes everything the karma of his disciple, and thus the disciple can be pure, Srila Prabhupada says in his books that because of the karma that the guru grasps from his disciples, sometimes the guru has bad dreams or gets sick.
