Dying to live, Javier Figuerola or Haripada dasa
Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura said, "reasons ill who says that pure devotees of God or Krishna die, they die to live and living expand the glories of God throughout the Universe". People who are absorbed in material life, begin to worship the Supreme Lord because of the fear of death. I have practical experience of this, once a friend of mine died suddenly, he was young and his older brother who was very materialistic came to me and told me to teach him to chant Hare Krishna and started me many spiritual questions. People who think that Srila Prabhupada is not a living guru demons are first class.
By the mercy of Srila Prabhupada understand and accept that everything in this material world is born must die, so that what is born and dies is the material body, not the spiritual soul, the spiritual soul is eternal and has neither beginning or end. The pure devotee of God or Krishna experience God through devotional service performed with faith, love, attachment and gratitude and the materialist and atheist experience God at the time of death. To death serves the devotee, in Srimad Bhagavatam in the fourth song in the history of Dhruva Maharaja is said that when he went up to the transcendental plane that would take the spiritual world appeared the personification of death and I take it that for support your foot on the head of death and climb the transcendental plane.
Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita that I am death, for Krishna devotee is your best friend, so death for the devotee is your best friend.
Share a story I once Hare Krishna devotees were distrubuyendo the books of Srila Prabhupada at the airport in Los Angeles in USA, and devoted a person showed drawings of Srimad Bhagavatam where Yamadutas or lords death takes the soul to be judged by Yamaraja, the man saw this was very frightened and ran, he spent time and the man turned to speak to the devotee and told him that he was about to die and he saw the Yamadutas, and to explain all this, then that person became a devotee of Hare Krishna and had a glorious death chanting Hare Krishna devotees in his deathbed.
Chant the Maha-mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare and be happy.
Srila Prabhupada Serve with love, faith, gratitude and attachment and your life will be successful and sublime.

![Śrīla Prabhupāda Says - [Regarding how one must be very careful not to offend a pure Vaiṣṇava devotee - however one must also distinguish between a neophyte and a pure devotee]
When one thus criticizes a pure devotee, he commits an offense (vaiṣṇava-aparādha) that is very obstructive and dangerous for those who desire to advance in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. A person cannot derive any spiritual benefit when he offends the lotus feet of a Vaiṣṇava.
Everyone should therefore be very careful not to be jealous of an empowered Vaiṣṇava, or a śuddha-vaiṣṇava. It is also an offense to consider an empowered Vaiṣṇava an object of disciplinary action. It is offensive to try to give him advice or to correct him.
One can distinguish between a neophyte Vaiṣṇava and an advanced Vaiṣṇava by their activities. The advanced Vaiṣṇava is always situated as the spiritual master, and the neophyte is always considered his disciple. The spiritual master must not be subjected to the advice of a disciple, nor should a spiritual master be obliged to take instructions from those who are not his disciples. This is the sum and substance of Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī's advice in the sixth verse.

![Śrīla Prabhupāda Says - [Regarding what is real knowledge/education]
The spirit soul transmigrates even in the duration of one life as the body changes. When the body is first manifest in the womb of the mother, it is very small, just like a pea, and it gradually develops nine holes—two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, one mouth, one genital, and one rectum. In this way the body develops, and as long as it needs to develop within the mother's womb, it remains there. When it is sufficiently developed to go outside, it comes out and grows. Growth entails changing of the body. This change cannot be understood because it is imperceivable to the living entity. In childhood we had small bodies which now no longer exist; therefore it can be said that we have changed our bodies. Similarly, because of the nature of material things, we have to change this body when it ceases to work. Every material thing deteriorates, and like a broken machine or an old piece of cloth the body becomes useless after a certain length of time.
Although this process of growth is always taking place, the educational system in modern universities, though considered advanced, unfortunately does not deal with this. Actually there is no education without spiritual knowledge. One can learn to earn bread, eat, sleep and mate without a formal education. Animals are not educated—they are not technicians, and they have no university degrees—but they are also eating, sleeping, mating and defending. If the educational system simply teaches these processes, it does not deserve the name of education. Real education enables us to understand what we are. As long as man does not develop his consciousness by understanding the truth of the self, all of his actions will be performed in the mode of ignorance. A human life is meant for victory over the laws of material nature. Actually, we are all trying to attain that victory in order to counteract the onslaught of material nature. The ultimate victory is to conquer birth, death, disease and old age, but we have neglected this important point.

![Śrīla Prabhupāda Says - [Regarding how even a bona-fide Guru cannot change any word of the predecessor Guru]
So this kind of guru, this kind of rascal, will not help you. Guru must come from the paramparā system by disciplic succession. Five thousand years or five millions of years, what was spoken by the supreme God or guru, the present guru also will say the same thing. That is guru. That is bona fide guru. Otherwise, he's not guru. Simple definition.
Guru cannot change any word of the predecessor.
There is one instance in Caitanya Mahāprabhu's life. One gentleman, (he) is Vallabha Ācārya. He was very much devotee of Caitanya Mahāprabhu. He wrote one comment on Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Subodhinī-ṭīkā, it is called. That is recognized, nice ṭīkā, comment. But he approached Caitanya Mahāprabhu. He was very great devotee of Caitanya Mahāprabhu. So he simply said that "Caitanya Mahāprabhu, Lord Caitanya, if You hear my comment on the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, You'll find it is far better than Śrīdhara Svāmī's."
Śrīdhara Svāmī is the very old commentator. So Caitanya Mahāprabhu immediately rejected: "Oh, you are claiming that you have written something better than Śrīdhara Svāmī?" He chastised him. Svāmī means another... He sarcastically remarked, the word svāmī, Śrīdhara Swami, svāmī, another svāmī means "husband." So He said, svāmī jīva nāhi mane besa bali guṇī(?): "I think one who does not recognize svāmī, he's a prostitute." He immediately said. "You do not recognize Śrīdhara Svāmī, then you are a prostitute. How can I hear from a prostitute?" He refused.
Only word, that "I have written better than Svāmī." So this is the process of guru. You cannot disobey the previous ācārya or guru. No. You have to repeat the same thing. Not research. Sometimes rascals come, that "You are speaking the same thing. Why don't you speak something new by research work?" We say that we have no intelligence, we cannot make any research. We are... Guru more mūrkha dekhi koriyā vicāra [Cc. Adi 7.71].
Caitanya Mahāprabhu said that "My Guru Mahārāja saw Me a great fool number one." So one who remains a great fool number one before his guru, he is guru. And one who says that "I'm advanced so much that I can speak better than my guru," then he's rascal. This is the process.
