THE EDUCATED PERSON

The educated person, by Javier Figuerola (Haripada dasa)
In Vedic culture cultured person has three basic qualities, these are: 1) see all women as mothers, unless his own wife. In Vedic culture there are seven mothers: The mother who bore you, the wife of the priest, the king's wife, the wife of the spiritual master, the mother, the cow and the Earth. 2) View the properties of others as a straw in the street, in other words, be satisfied with what you have and not want or envy others' goods and 3) Ask others what you would have them do unto you and do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Does a society of people with these qualities you imagine? It would be a perfect society. We see today people consider all women as his wives and his wife nor ignore. There is an excessive competition surpass others, both personally and among nations and nobody thinks about the welfare of others. All are political, politician is one who makes plans to be him happy without thinking of the welfare of others. Today it is considered a person as educated by his diplomas and not by their qualities. There is a story on this topic: The Himalayas were to give birth to offspring, and met there all the most important people in the world, and everyone was in great expectation. Sounded drums and other musical instruments, and which bore the Himalayas? A mouse. Everyone was very frustrated. So, today, many austerities and sacrifices people make a career to take off, and then when they get the diploma, have to go with your resume, moving the tail like a puppy, looking for love. This is very unfortunate. And in schools, once considered punishable something a child would throw balls of paper to another child in the class, or do not pay attention to the teacher; but today, it is a child or young person with a gun and start killing their peers for no reason, my God! how have things changed for the worse.
Chant the Maha-mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare and be happy.
Srila Prabhupada Serve with love, faith, gratitude and attachment and your life will be successful and sublime.

SRI PRAHLADA MAHARAJA KI JAYA

Prahlada Maharaja’s advice

Prahlada Maharaja advised that one elevate oneself to the standard of bhagavata-dharma from the very beginning of life. Bhagavata-dharma means to understand our relationship with the Supreme Lord. Although the life is temporary, but it is very suitable for self-realization. So therefore one should begin this process from childhood.

A human being, he should learn about the bhagavata-dharma from the beginning of his kaumara age, not that keep it aside, "When I shall become old man, then I shall read the scriptures." No. Kaumara, from the boyhood. Kaumara acaret prajnah.
"One who is sufficiently intelligent should use the human form of body from the very beginning of life - in other words, from the tender age of childhood - to practice the activities of devotional service..."
It is the duty of the father and mother or any well-wisher to engage the child, from the beginning of his life in the matter of devotional service.

MOKSADA EKADASI KI JAYA

Mokshada Ekadasi

Mokshada Ekadasi is a very special Ekadasi in two regards; today was the all auspicious day on which Lord Sri Krishna spoke the Srimad Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, at the place now known as Jyotisha tirtha.
Anyone who gifts a Bhagavad Gita away to a deserving person on this day is bestowed profuse blessings by the Sri Krishna Bhagavan.

The Ancient History of Mokshada Ekadasi from Brahmanda Purana:

Yudhishthira Maharaj said, "O Vishnu, master of all, O delight of the three worlds, O Lord of the entire Universe, O creator of the
world, O oldest personality, O best of all beings, I offer my most respectful obeisances unto You.
"O Lord of lords, for the benefit of all living entities, kindly answer some questions that I have. What is the name of the Ekadasi that occurs during the light fortnight of the month of Margashirsha (November-December) and removes all sins?
How does one observe it properly, and which Deity is worshipped on that holiest of days?
O my Lord please explain this to me in full."

Lord Sri Krishna replied, "O dear Yudhishthira, your enquiry is very auspicious in itself and will bring you fame.
Just as I previously explained to you about the dearest Utpannaa Maha-Dwadasi - which occurs during the dark part of the month of Margashirsha, which is the day when Ekadasi-devi appeared from My body to kill the demon Mura, and which benefits everything animate and inanimate in the three worlds - so I shall now relate to you regarding this Ekadasi that occurs during the light part of the month of Margashirsha.
This Ekadasi is famous as Mokshadaa because it purifies the faithful devotee of all sinful reactions and bestows liberation upon him.
The worshipable Deity of this all auspicious day is Lord Damodara.
With full attention one should worship Him with incense, a ghee lamp, fragrant flowers, and Tulsi manjaris (buds).

"O best of saintly kings, please listen as I narrate to you the ancient and auspicious history of this wonderful Ekadasi.
Simply by hearing this history one can attain the merit earned by performing a horse sacrifice.
By the influence of this merit, one's forefathers, mothers, sons, and other relatives who have gone to hell can turn around and go to the heavenly kingdom.
For this reason alone, O king, you should listen with rapt attention to this narration.

"There once was a beautiful city named Champaka-nagar, which was decorated with devoted Vaishnavas.
There the best of saintly kings Maharaj Vaikhaanasa, ruled over his subjects as if they were his very own dear sons and daughters.
The brahmins in that capital city were all expert in four kinds of Vedik knowledge.
The king, while ruling properly, had a dream one night in which his father was seen to be suffering the pangs of hellish torture in one of the hellish planets ruled over by the Yamaraj.
The king was overwhelmed with compassion for his father and shed tears.
The next morning, Maharaj Vaikhaanasa described what he had seen in his dream to his council of twice born learned brahmins.

" ' O brahmanas,' the king addressed them, 'in a dream last night I saw my father suffering on a hellish planet.
He was crying out in anguish, "O son, please deliver me from this torment of this hellish condition !"
Now I have no peace in my mind, and even this beautiful kingdom has become unbearable to me.
Not even my horses, elephants, and chariots and my vast wealth in my treasury that formerly brought so much pleasure, gives me no pleasure at all.
" 'Everything, O best of the brahmins, even my own wife and sons, have become a source of unhappiness since I beheld my father suffering the tortures of that hellish condition so.
Where can I go, and what can I do, O brahmins, to alleviate this misery?
My body is burning with fear and sorrow ! Please tell me what kind of charity, what mode of fasting, what austerity, or what deep meditation, and in service upon which Deity I may have to perform to deliver my father from that agony and bestow upon liberation upon my forefathers.
O best among the brahmins, what is the use of one's being a powerful son if one's father must suffer on a hellish planet?
Truly, such a son's life is utterly useless, to him and to his forefathers.

" The twice born brahmins replied, 'O king, in the mountainous forest not far from here is the ashram where a great saint Parvata Muni resides.
Please go to him, for he is tri-kala-jnani (he knows the past, the present, and the future of everything) and can surely help you in your gaining relief from your misery.'

"Upon hearing this advise, the distressed king immediately set out on a journey to the ashram of the famous sage Parvata Muni.
The ashram was indeed very big and housed many learned sages expert in chanting the sacred hymns of the four Vedas (Rg, Yajur, Sama, and Arthava).
Approaching the holy ashram, the king beheld Parvata Muni seated among the assembly of sages adorned with hundreds of tilaks (from all the authorised sampradayas) like another Brahmaa or Vyaas.
"Maharaj Vaikhaanasa offered his humble obeisances to the muni, bowing his head and then prostrating his entire body before him.
After the king had seated himself among the assembly Parvata Muni asked him about the welfare of the seven limbs of his extensive kingdom (his ministers, his treasury, his military forces, his allies, the brahmins, the sacrificial offerings performed, and the needs of his subjects).
The muni also asked him if his kingdom was free of troubles and whether everyone was peaceful, happy and satisfied.
To these enquiries the king replied, 'By your mercy O glorious and great sage, all seven limbs of my kingdom are doing very well.
Yet there is a problem that has recently arisen, and to solve it I have come to you, O brahmana for your expert help and guidance'.

"Then Parvata Muni, the best of all sages, closed his eyes and meditated on the king's past, present and future.
After a few moments he opened his eyes and said, 'Your father is suffering the results of committing a great sin, and I have discovered what it is.
In his previous life he quarrelled with his wife and forcibly enjoyed her sexually during her menstrual period.
She tried to protest and resist his advances and even yelled out, "Someone please save me! Please, O husband, do not interrupt my monthly period in this way!"
Still he did not stop or leave her alone. It is on account of this grievous sin that your father now has fallen into such a hellish condition of suffering.'

"King Vaikhaanasa then said, 'O greatest among sages, by what process of fasting or charity may I liberate my dear father from such a condition?
Please tell me how I can relieve and remove the burden of his sinful reactions, which are a great obstacle to his progress toward ultimate release (salvation - liberation - going back home).'
"Parvata Muni replied, 'During the light fortnight of the month of Margashirsha there occurs an Ekadasi called Mokshadaa.
If you observe this sacred Ekadasi strictly, with a full fast, and give directly to your suffering father the merit you thus attain/obtain, he will be freed from his pain and instantly liberated'.

"Hearing this, Maharaj Vaikhaanasa profusely thanked the great sage and then returned to his palace to perform his vrata (austere rite).
O Yudhishthira, when the light part of the month of Margashirsha at last arrived, Maharaj Vaikhaanasa faithfully waited for the Ekadasi tithi to arrive.
He then perfectly and with full faith observed the Ekadasi fast with his wife, children, and other relatives.
He dutifully gave the merit from this fast to his father, and as he made the offering, beautiful flower petals showered down from the devas who peered out from behind the clouds in the sky.
The king's father was then praised by the messengers of the demigods (devas) and escorted to the celestial region.
As he passed his son, as he traversed the lower to middle to higher planets, the father said to the king, 'My dear son, all auspiciousness unto you!'
At last he reached the heavenly realm from where he can again with his newly acquired merit perform devotional service to Krishna or Vishnu and in due course return back to home back to Godhead.

"O son of Pandu, who so ever strictly observes the sacred Mokshadaa Ekadasi, following the established rules and regulations, achieves full and perfect liberation after death.
There is no better fasting day than this Ekadasi of the light fortnight of the month of Margashirsha, O Yudhishthira, for it is a crystal-clear and sinless day.
Whoever faithfully observes this Ekadasi fast, which is like chinta-mani (a gem that yields all desires), obtains special merit that is very hard to calculate, for this day can elevate one from hellish life to the heavenly planets, and for one who observes Ekadasi for his own spiritual benefit, this elevates one to go back to Godhead, never to return to this material world."

Thus end the narration of the glories of Margashirsha-shukla Ekadasi or Mokshada Ekadasi, from the Brahmanda Purana.

THE PROBLEM

The problem, Javier Figuerola (Haripada dasa)
Today I was thinking about the essence of all the problems that exist today in the world and I have come to the conclusion that the problem is atheism. In Chapter 7 of the Nectar of Devotion Srila Prabhupada says that atheism means challenging the authority of the Vedas and belittle the great spiritual teachers who teach Vedic scriptures for the benefit of people in general. The whole atmosphere is full of atheism, there atheism in the Policy, Science, Financial Institutions, in Religions, in the Company, in the Workers in the Media, in Sports, in educational institutions, in Justice, etc. To become a pure devotee of God in this age you have to be very brave, no one will support, on the contrary, many people are going to get against you, family, friends, enemies, society, etc.
In spiritual literature of India called the Vedas are ten billion verses describing the unlimited Names of God, His Ways, His Attributes, His Pastimes, His Unlimited Energy, etc. Srila Prabhupada authorized by God is a spiritual teacher and he gave us 80 books of 400 pages each for anyone interested in self-realization or spiritual life people reach the goal of human life is to know God and love Him.
Srila Prabhupada in his book Krishna says: "Now, one can ask the question Why Krishna does the Supreme Personality of Godhead The answer is, because He is adjusted accurate and detailed descriptions of the Supreme Being, the Godhead, in other words, Krishna is God because He is supremely attractive. beyond the supreme principle of attraction, there is another meaning of the word "God." How can anyone be supremely attractive? First of all, if someone is very rich, if you have . great wealth, it then becomes an attractive person people generally Similarly if someone is very powerful, also becomes an attractive person, and if someone is very famous, very beautiful or wise, or is unattached all kinds of possessions, also becomes an attractive person, for practical experience we can observe that one is attractive thanks to:. 1) wealth, 2) the power, 3) fame, 4) beauty, 5) wisdom and 6) renunciation. One who simultaneously possesses all of these six opulences and that possesses unlimited degree, is understood to be the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Parasara Muni, a great Vedic authority describes these opulences of God. We have seen many rich, powerful, famous, beautiful, learned and scholarly persons; We have seen many people who belong to the order of the renounced life and are detached from material possessions, but we have never seen anyone like Krishna in the history of mankind, which was simultaneously and endlessly rich, powerful, famous, bello wise and detached. Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is a historical figure who appeared on this planet five thousand years ago and behaved as a human being; but their activities were not parallel, from the moment of its appearance until the time of his disappearance. Each of its activities is unique in world history, and therefore who knows what we mean by the word "God," will accept Krishna as the Supreme Personality of Godhead. No one is equal to God, no one is greater than Him. That is the meaning of familiar proverb "God is great."
Money is the only God who has no atheists.
Chant the Maha-mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare and be happy.

HUMILITY

Humility, by Javier Figuerola (Haripada dasa)
By studying the Vedic literature or ancient writings of India, I have come to the conclusion that the reason that we are all in this world is because we have misused our free will. Therefore, everything that happens to us in this world, both individually and collectively, the cause is our fault, as the Christians say: "through my fault, through my fault and my most grievous fault" and this way of thinking called humility. Humility also means that one should not be anxious to have the satisfaction of being honored by others. Once I was listening to a lecture by a great scholar saint, and at the end of the conference, said: "Are there any questions?", Then a very educated Hindu Lord began to make very good and philosophical questions, and the great scholar saint , the answer was a perfect and masterly. The gentleman who was asking, to listen to such good answers I was giving the great sage, went into ecstasy and began to glorify the holy scholar, saying: "In my life I have found a spiritual master as genuine as you, in my life have I seen anyone answer me these questions as well as you ... "Then the holy scholar without a word, when he saw that this man was glorifying he left.
Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura (1874-1936), in his time, he was in India the highest authority in the cult of bhakti-yoga. Yoga means the science of one's relationship with God and bhakti means love or devotion to God, in other words, the basis of his preaching was taught as can relate and love God. To give you an idea of their superhuman qualities, he at seven years old, memorized all 700 verses containing the Bhagavad-Gita, this book is sometimes called "The Bible of India." Not only memorized, but could make brilliant comments on them. He established throughout India 64 temples where it was taught and practiced bhakti-yoga. Practically speaking, he influenced the whole of India and its temples were the inspiration for the practice of spiritual life throughout India. There is a very touching story on this great personality. He was dictating a conference in Calcutta, and every day a man was there, and in the middle of the conference began to insult him, hurling insults, such as "you are a deceiver, everything he says is not true, you are a trickster, ... etc. "After insulting him, he left. One day Srila Bhaktisiddhanta came to the temple and had a great holiday. He asked, What is this? Why the big party is? And his disciples told him very happy they were celebrating the death of the man who came to insult every day, had been hit by a truck. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta, upon hearing this news, he was very serious, to the point that he began to mourn, and tearfully said. "That man was my best friend, because it made me remember who I am 'Srila Bhaktisiddhanta used to always say" one who glorifies me is my enemy. "He also said that humility implies perfect submission to the truth and no sympathy for falsehood. A person who entertains any bias on falsehood is unable to chant the Maha-mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare 24 hours a day. The humble person learns from everyone and proud person does not learn from anyone.
This quality of humility, you can not appreciate from the material point of view, since the material conception of life makes one very eager to receive honor from others; but from the point of view of a man who has perfect knowledge is, someone who has realized that I am not this temporary material body, but I am an eternal spirit soul, anything, honor or dishonor, pertaining to this body is useless.
Chant the Maha-mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare and be happy.

ODANA SASTHI KI JAYA

Odana Sasthi

Sri  Caitanya Caritamrta - Madhya 16.78
gadadhara-pandite tenho punah mantra dila
odana-shashthira dine yatra ye dekhila

TRANSLATION
Pundarika Vidyanidhi initiated Gadadhara Pandita for the second time, and on the day of Odana-shashthi he saw the festival.
PURPORT
At the beginning of winter, there is a ceremony known as the Odana-shashthi. This ceremony indicates that from that day forward, a winter covering should be given to Lord Jagannatha. That covering is directly purchased from a weaver. According to the arcana-marga, a cloth should first be washed to remove all the starch, and then it can be used to cover the Lord. Pundarika Vidyanidhi saw that the priest neglected to wash the cloth before covering Lord Jagannatha. Since he wanted to find some fault in the devotees, he became indignant.

The History of Sri Tota Gopinath

The History of Sri Tota Gopinath

Sri Tota Gopinatha is exquisitely beautiful self-manifested Deity of Lord Sri Krishna. Sri Tota Gopinatha is also a most unique Deity because He is the only Krishna Deity in the world “sitting down” and playing His flute.
Tota Gopinatha has such a charismatic bewitching quality that draws one to His darshana over and over again. Srila Vrindavana Thakura extols His power: “Even an extreme atheist will be changed upon seeing the Deity of Gopinatha.” At 7am during darshana time, upon request, the pujari can show a small golden streak on Gopinatha’s right knee where Mahaprabhu entered the Lord.
APPEARANCE OF SRI TOTA GOPINATHA
Gopinatha temple is situated in Sri Ksetra Jagannatha Puri Dhama in an area named Yamesvara Tota. When Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu took sannyasa, He stayed at Jagannatha Puri Dhama for 18 years. Sri Gadadhara Pandita also came with Mahaprabhu. Most of Mahaprabhu’s other associates in Navadvipa remained in Bengal; they came to Puri only once in a year, for the four months of the rainy season, to attend the Lord Jagannatha Rathayatra and to see Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. But Gadadhara Pandita couldn’t bear to be separated from the Lord, and the Lord couldn’t bear to be separated from Him. So He was permitted to stay with Mahaprabhu in Puri. Gadadhara Pandita resided here at Sri Tota Gopinatha Temple. While residing here in this peaceful garden of trees and creepers, Gadadhara Pandita recited Srimad-Bhagavatam every afternoon. Mahaprabhu attended regularly and heard recount the stories of Dhruva Maharaj and Prahlada Maharaj 100 times.
One day here, Sri Caitanyadeva experienced immense separation from Lord Krishna. Crying out, “Where is My Prananatha,” Gauranga started digging the earth to search of His Lord. Feeling the carved stone mukuta of a murti below the ground, Gaurahari declared, “Gadai, I have found a most precious treasure here. Would you like to accept it?” Noticing the head of a murti emerging from the sand, Gadadhara helped Gauranga uncover a most beautiful Deity of Supreme Lord Sri Krishna.
Mahaprabhu named the Deity, Gopinatha, and because He appeared in this garden called tota in Oriya the devotees called Him, Tota Gopinatha. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu gave the responsibility of Sri Tota Gopinatha’s service to His most dear Gadadhara Pandita, and also awarded Him ksetra-sannyasa.
Sri Tota Gopinatha Deity is very beautiful. Sri Vrindavana Dasa Thakura describes Sri Tota Gopinatha’s beauty in his Sri Caitanya-Bhagavat as follows:
gadadhara bhavane mohana Gopinatha
achene, ye hena nanda-kumara saksat
apane Caitanya tare kariyachena kole
ati pasandi-o se vigraha dekhe bhule
dekhi sri-murali mukha angera bhangima
nityananda ananda asura nahi sima
(Sri Caitanya-Bhagavat Antya 7.114)
“In the house of Gadadhara there is most attractive Gopinatha. This Deity looks exactly like son of Nanda Himself is sitting there. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu Himself had held Him in His lap. Even most atheistic person will be changed to see this Deity. By seeing the posture of the body and face with flute Lord Nityananda sheds tears of bliss limitlessly.”
WHY SRI TOTA GOPINATHA IS SITTING DOWN?
The Deity of Sri Tota Gopinatha was previously in standing form and was being worshiped by Sri Gadadhara Pandita. But after the departure of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Gadai (Gadadhara) felt devastated. His body got bent over from intense agony of separation from his beloved Gaura. Although he was only 47 years old, Gadadhara became lean and thin like an old man. Incapable of lifting his arms, Gadai could neither dress Tota Gopinatha nor offer Him candana and flower garlands. Gadadhara thought it best to engage another pujari in worshiping the Lord. In a dream that night, Tota Gopinatha appeared and said, “Why do you want to engage another pujari in My seva? I only want you to serve Me.”
Gadadhara replied, “O Prananatha! Due to my condition, I can no longer stand up and serve You properly.”
Lord Gopinatha said, “No, I insist that you alone serve Me. If you are finding difficulty, then from tomorrow I will become shorter.”
Next morning when Gadadhara entered the Deity room to serve Gopinatha, he saw an amazing sight. The most merciful Lord had sat down in order to receive service from his hands.
After the Disappearance of Sri Gadadhara Pandita, another devotee by name Mamu Thakura took care of Sri Tota Gopinatha Deities. Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu used to call him Mama, which is Bengali for uncle; in Orissa, "uncle" is Mamu. Thus he was known as Mamu Thakura among the people.

UNIVERSAL LEADERS

Universal Leaders, Javier Figuerola
A few days ago in Australia met the leaders of the 20 richest countries in the world. They spoke of the war in Ukraine, that worries them, but did not talk about how we can help African poor who are suffering from the disease Ebola did not talk about that together we will end hunger in the world, did not talk about we will invent alternative energy for not exploiting the oil to Mother Earth and certainly not talked about how we come to know God and love Him. Those people do not care about the suffering that others are suffering from Ebola, hunger, etc. Such people are only interested in power and control others through fear, they are people with a very sectarian and crippled mentality are nothing nice or friendly. His only business is to transmit fear of others, and through fear to control the masses, if people were not sheep, if people were smart, pure, happy and free could not control. The only crisis There is universal leaders, people who suffer when they see others suffer and no matter the skin color, neither country nor creed, or language, etc., and are happy when they see others happy in God consciousness. The world is full of atheists, and political parties take advantage of the atheistic philosophies to promote materialism. Srila Prabhupada always said that people who fear these infernal leaders who chant the maha-mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare and be happy.
I share these maxims on friendship:
The friend must be like money, before you need it, the value is known. If you feel you lost all sense, there's a love you will always be a friend. A friend is a person you can think aloud. Friendship is more difficult and rarer than love. Therefore, we must save as. A brother may not be a friend, but a friend will always be a brother. Friendship is one soul dwelling in two bodies; one heart inhabiting two souls. He who seeks a friend without faults you run out of friends. True friends will have to upset occasionally. The friends you have and whose friendship've tested, engánchalos your soul with hooks of steel. True friendship is like phosphorescence, shines better when everything was dark. Friendship doubles your joys and sorrows divided in half. If there's anything I've learned, is that piety is smarter than hate, that mercy is preferable even justice itself, that if you go through the world with friendly look, you make good friends. He is my dearest friend and the most cruel of my rivals, my confidant and my betrayer, who supports me and that depends on me; and the scariest of all: It is my equal. Friends are like blood when it is injured come without being called. Friends are those rare beings who ask us as we are and wait to hear the answer. The bad friend is telling us to face the unpleasant things; the enemy's said behind us as we did not know, nothing happens. A true friend is one who stands by you when they would rather be elsewhere. A false friend is like a shadow that follows us while the sun lasts. How rare and wonderful is that fleeting moment when we realize we have discovered a friend! Look no friend to kill the hours, but seek him with hours to live. Friendship is everything. Friendship is worth more than talent. Worth more than the government. Friendship is worth almost as much as the family. The real friend is one who knows all about you and still your friend. One of the joys of friendship is knowing who to trust. If you want to form a judgment about a man, watch who your friends. Rebuke a friend in secret and praise him openly. Perfect friendship is the good and resemble those of virtue. They wish each other good in the same sense. The friend is another self. Without friendship man can not be happy. God did not create borders. My goal is friendship with the world. The friendship could only take place through the development of mutual and in a spirit of sincerity respect. True friendship is a plant of slow growth. No better friend or father to oneself. Take your time in choosing a friend, slower but I still change it. A friendship without trust is a flower without perfume. Man likes to see his friend humbled before him; for most friendship is based on humiliation. Good sources are known in the great droughts; good friends, in the unfortunate times. What makes unbreakable friendships and doubles its charm is that it lacks a sense of love, for sure. Each shows what is on the friends you have. Preferid, among friends, not just those who are saddened by the news of all your misery, but even more that I do not envy your prosperity.
Chant the maha-mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare and be happy.

Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu then finally advised, "One who is chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra is understood to be a Vaiṣṇava; therefore you should offer all respects to him."
PURPORT

In his Upadeśāmṛta (5), Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī states: kṛṣṇeti yasya giri taḿ manasādriyeta dīkṣāsti cet praṇatibhiś ca bhajantam īśam. An advanced devotee should respect a person who has been initiated by a bona fide spiritual master and who is situated on the transcendental platform, chanting the holy name with faith and obeisances and following the instructions of the spiritual master. Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura comments that serving Vaiṣṇavas is most important for householders. Whether a Vaiṣṇava is properly initiated or not is not a subject for consideration. One may be initiated and yet contaminated by the Māyāvāda philosophy, but a person who chants the holy name of the Lord offenselessly will not be so contaminated. A properly initiated Vaiṣṇava may be imperfect, but one who chants the holy name of the Lord offenselessly is all-perfect. Although he may apparently be a neophyte, he still has to be considered a pure, unalloyed Vaiṣṇava. It is the duty of the householder to offer respects to such an unalloyed Vaiṣṇava. This is Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's instruction.

Srila Prabhupada's Quote
Any one of us can be arrested by Maya at any moment
if we are not strongly attached to Krishna Consciousness.
So my request to you and all others is to follow the principles of Krishna Consciousness adherently
and there is no danger however strong the Maya may be.

WE ARE SERVANTS

We are servants, Javier Figuerola
In the Bible it is said that he who does not live to serve, does for a living, in these words is the true essence of our lives. I agree that 1983 was a big change in my life, it was two in the morning and went to a nightclub and looked at the sky, all the stars were there were no clouds, and prayed to God to please save me this miserable life, I have an interest in knowing and loving God, to understand that we are not temporal matter but eternal spirit souls, understanding that awaits me after death, understanding that I suffer but I would not suffer, to understand where true happiness is in understanding which is the Kingdom of God or the spiritual world, the response was immediate, I heard an inner voice saying to me that it was time to wake up, that inner voice is called Paramatma, or the Holy Spirit, God at the heart of all living entities. From personal experience I say that there is no greater power in the universe to pray to God. In 1984 he joined the Hare Krishna movement and participated in volunteering at the Food for Life Vrindavan in India program, distributing prasadam, or food offered to God, traveled through 16 Latin countries and USA, God or Krishna circulated through my quarter of a million books of Srila Prabhupada, I will have talked to four million people face to face, that has helped me to see the suffering of the people and respect people, and collected a lot of money to provide food in Vrindavan in India, when I realized that the leaders of Hare Krishna had changed the instructions of Srila Prabhupada I left the movement, now my service to Srila Prabhupada is to share my experiences without wanting anything in return, this helps me a lot to be free of envy a publishing house has a spiritual book and I've already signed the contract for another book I tell all my personal experiences, and continue collecting donations to distribute food in India. When someone is interested in understanding the issues mentioned above, that person should pray to God with great earnestness and sincerity to send to a bona fide spiritual master to understand all these things, there then begins the good fortune for the soul. And what is a bona fide spiritual master ?, the answer is very simple, is the representative of God, Jesus Christ, Srila Prabhupada, Mohammed and others are representatives of God, and what are the representatives of God ?, to set prinicipios of religion, Jesus said I have come to abolish the law but to fulfill it, and Srila Prabhupada in the Srimad Bhagavatam, 4,8,54 says the guru comes and establishes religious principles, when the guru is going becomes clutter and bandits, thieves and crooks take advantage of the situation. It is said in the Holy Scriptures of India to find a bona fide guru in this age is harder to throw a lifeline to the ocean and a tortoise, and what a coincidence that when the turtle pokes his head gets into the lifeboat, and more difficult than it is to find a perfect and genuine disciple of a bona fide guru. There are people who present themselves as servants of humanity but have hidden desires, these people deceive themselves and others and never experience happiness in this life or the next. I am very happy in my personal life, I have the love and trust of many pious and simple-hearted people.
Usually people think that a guru is one who through a brainwashing exploits his disciples to bring you money and women to enjoy it, that make false and unauthorized gurus. A genuine guru is God's representative and servant of his disciples, Jesus said that I did not come to be served but to serve me, and Srila Prabhupada always said that a genuine and authorized guru is considered the servant of his disciples, he sees his disciples and their gurus, and he thinks it is God who has sent me to these people for me to train in the spiritual life. In Chapter 6 of Harinama- Chintamani says the relationship is genuine guru to disciple is eternal, as long as both keep their pure positions, however if the guru deviates, the disciple should reject it and vice versa, if the deviates guru disciple should reject if this is not carried out they are doomed. No one can go directly to God, God or Krishna tells Arjuna in the Adi Purana says that one who is My devotee is not My devotee, but who says that is the devotee of My devotee of My devotee of My devotee that is my devotee. And Shiva tells his wife Parvati that the highest worship is to worship God or Vishnu, but higher than that is worshiping His devotee. And Srila Visvanatha Chakravarti Thakura says in his Guruastaka to meet the representative of God, God is pleased, but if one does not meet the representative of God, no one knows what their destiny.
Thoughts to ponder
A true friend or friend is someone who helps you to go home, back to God, the spiritual world, without wanting anything in return.
My mother is the truth, my father is knowledge, my occupational duty is to serve God and humanity is my brother, kindness is my friend, tranquility is my wife, and forgiveness is my son. These six are my family members.
Srila Prabhupada always said that if you do not serve God have to serve your dog.
Chant the maha-mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare and be happy.

Srila Prabhupada's Nectar

Srila Prabhupada's Nectar

Srila Prabhupada Nectar-A199.jpg
Srila Prabhupada's Quote

Devotee or Guest: I want to ask you how can we possibly know that one has attained Krsna consciousness.
Prabhupada: You have to think of Krsna. Hm? What did he say, question?
Hrdayananda: He wanted to know what are the symptoms of one who has become Krsna conscious.
Prabhupada: Symptoms? He’s chanting always Hare Krsna. Unless one is Krsna conscious, why he’ll take the trouble, twenty-four hours, “Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna”? This is the symptom. The symptom is further explained that as soon as you see one man and you remember Krsna, that means he’s Krsna conscious. So our men, wherever they go, people say, “Hare Krsna!” -- by seeing him only. Therefore the man is Krsna conscious. This is the proof. That is the statement of Caitanya Mahaprabhu, “If by seeing one person you remember Krsna, that person is Krsna conscious.”
(Bhagavad-gita 2.15 -- Mexico, February 15, 1975)

PEOPLE IN FIRST CLASS

People in first class, Javier Figuerola
Srila Prabhupada came to USA in 1965 when he was 69 years old, from 1965-1977 that disembodied wrote 80 books of 400 pages each, opened over a hundred temples of Hare Krishna, several rural communities traveled the world and gave 14 times around the world preaching Krishna consciousness, he began to thousands and thousands of people who went crazy for God singing each day the maha-mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama , Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare vowing to sing every day 27,648 names of God, and making a pure life by leaving meat, fish and eggs, gambling, snuff, tea, drugs , coffee and illicit sex, sex only to procreate and your lawful wife. The Hare Krishnas are known throughout the world as the people of the bright faces, the face is the mirror of the soul. In all the most prestigious universities in the world have their books to study the spiritual culture of India. Since 1965 until now their fans, followers and supporters have distributed more than 500 million books in 123 languages and dialects. Thanks to the books of Srila Prabhupada the concepts of reincarnation, karma, and who is that God and the Hare Krishna cuisine is famous worldwide. Srila Prabhupada in his books prophesied that when the thugs, thieves and opportunists out would take advantage of the situation. Srila Prabhupada said many times that he would never die but live forever in his books and follow his instructions who live with him. Unfortunately when Srila Prabhupada disciples assumptions was what changed everything, changed their books, and without the permission of Srila Prabhupada became gurus. The result of doing so many offenses to Srila Prabhupada's movement is now a horror movie. Many people like me and others had to leave us your movement to avoid being complicit in so many injustices and offenses are doing to Srila Prabhupada.
Once I saw a video of Nostradamus prophesied the coming of Srila Prabhupada said to come from the east a person who always go with a cane to found a universal religion, the religion of love for God. There is a prophecy that his books will be the law books for the next 10,000 years for all mankind. We are in Kali-yuga the age of ignorance and folly, 99 percent of people do not know or love God, in the past people had friends with people, now people can not relate to people and their friends are dogs and cats, now in Spain with regard to the Ebola have sacrificed a dog, and thousands and thousands of people have protested, but none of those thousands and thousands of people have complained about the millions and millions and millions of innocent animals killed in slaughterhouses every day, this is kali-yuga, no intelligence or kindness. Find today to a balanced person is as difficult to say a pure devotee of God. That right was when Srila Prabhupada always said that all people who are afraid of these infernal leaders who chant the maha-mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare and be happy.
Srila Prabhuoada tried to create persons class, the qualities of those people are, "They are kind, tolerant, friendly to all, always respect them all and never want to be respected, they are true, pure heart, conquer hunger, thirst, lamentation, envy and old age, not deceive themselves or others, they are happy when they see others happy consciousness of God and suffer when they see others suffer and have the best friends God and His representatives. Do you know someone with these qualities? the problem is that the atmosphere is highly charged with ignorance and evil and people do not feel inspired or interest in the material out of this mess and go back home back to God.
Chant the maha-mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare and be happy.

SRILA SARANGA THAKURA KI JAYA

Srila Saranga Thakura - Disappearance

ENTRANCE TO SRI SARANGA THAKURA’S “MADANA-GOPALA TEMPLE”

Sri Saranga Murari Thakura used to reside at Modadrumadwipa Mam-gachi, where his Deities of Sri Sri Radha-Gopinath are still present. There is also a Bakul tree there which is perhaps existing since the time of Saranga Thakura. There is a local legend concerning this tree. One day when Mahaprabhu came there, he noticed that the Bakul tree in the courtyard of Saranga's temple was dying. So he asked Saran-ga, "This Bakul tree is dying, so what are you going to do?"

Saranga Thakura replied, "Besides Your mercy Prabhu, I don't see any hope for this tree." Then Mahaprabhu embraced that tree, which has remained healthy to this day and is now quite large.

Saranga Thakura had resolved that he would not accept any disciples but Mahaprabhu nevertheless repeatedly requested him to do so. Finally he relented and agreed by saying, "Tomorrow morning the first person I see I will initiate with the divine mantra."

The next day, in the early morning, he went to take his bath in the Ganges. By chance a dead body came and touched his feet as he entered the water. Picking up this body he said, "Who are you? Get up." From behind Mahaprabhu who was witnessing everything called out, "Saranga! Say the mantra in his ear!" Then when Saranga said the mantra into the ear of that dead child, the body became consious. He said, "My name is Murari. I am your servant. Please bestow your mercy upon me."

On the day when this boy was to be invested with the sacred thread he was by chance bitten by a snake and died. As he was only a boy, the custom was not to burn the body but rather to place it on a raft of banana trees and float it down the Ganga. When his parents received the news that their child was alive, they came there to take him home. However Murari declined to accompany them to his former home. He told them, "I will remain in the service of he who has given me life again, for I am indebted to him."

Vrindavana dasa Thakura has described this Sri Saranga Murari Thakura as follows: "There was an external consiousness present in Caitanya dasa's transcendental body. He would enter into the forest just to chase tigers. Sometimes he would jump on the back of a tiger, who by his influence remained inert. At other time he would put a phython on his lap and play with great delight. It was by the mercy of Avadhuta Mahasaya (Nityananda Prabhu) that he was able to play in this way with tigers and snakes. Sri Nityananda Raya is very affectionate to his servants, and thus by a simple wink of his eye they are able to enjoy mellows which are not even accessible to Lord Brahma.

"Sri Saranga Murari Thakura was constantly in forgetfulness of himself, absorbed as he was in the bliss of speaking his inner thoughts. Sometimes he would remain in the within the water for 2 or 3 days without suffering any bodily inconveniences. He appeared to be almost insen-tient and therefore his activities were imperceivable. Such was the fierce intensity of his immeasurable prowess. How much can I describe of the interminable transformations of his devotional sentiments?" [Chaitanya Bhagavat Antya-lila. 5:426-434] The descendants of his family are still residing at Sargram in Barddhaman district.

According to Gaur-Ganoddesa-Dipika (text 172.) Saranga Thakura was previously Nandi Mukhi, in Braja lila.

"The Vraja-brahmani Nandimukhi-devi appeared as Saranga Takura. Some people think that Saranga Thakura was the incarnation of Prahlada Maharaj. My father (Shivananda Sena - the father of Kavi-karnapura) did not agree with them."

His appearence is on the 14th day of the dark fortnight of the month of Asar. His disappearance is on the 13th day of dark fortnight af the month Agrahayon (Mrigarirsa - November-December).
SRI SRI RADHA-GOPINATHA (small Deities on the right) were worshiped by Sri Saranga Thakura.
SRI SRI RADHA MADANA-GOPALA (large Deities in center) beloved Deities of Vasudeva Datta.
